STICKY FOR A WHILE - PLEASE READ ABOUT THE AGREEMENTS REACHED ON PAGE TWO Firstly let me thank Gordon Lip T&C General Manager, and Kev, we all know him[] We had a great chat and lots of your points were discussed openly and honestly. There is still to be further talks between Gordon and his line managers regarding several of the issues talked about mainly hourly rates, service and spares cost. When i have received my replies to the above i will be sure to pass them on as soon as possible, so as all of us could benefit. The topics that were openly accepted etc today were as follows Someone mentioned that they were unaware that T&C offered a 10% discount to club members, they do, however you MUST produce your card at time of booking in and not on collection. 1, The Service of Imported Cars, this includes your JDM Gogs[].....They will service imported cars not a problem, However, some of the older models do not sync with the diagnostic kit they now use. 2, Modified cars, Yes they will service modified cars, if a breakdown etc happens due to a mod during the first three years then your warranty will not cover it (obviously) . This applies to direct failures from said Modifications. However routine serving is not an issue 3, If you are going in with a fault for example with a miss fire at 4k rpm etc, you will be asked what mods have been done to your car, reason you will be asked is that they dont know whats been done to your car, and if they dont know they cant really narrow it down. .....So be open honest and tell them what has been done, It could save YOU a lot of time and at the end of the day money. 4, Customer loan cars, this is being looked at, at this moment in time and they are looking to improve on the amount of available loan cars. 5, More involved/connections with each other, Town and County have a sales trailer that is available to us manned, at any of our future events in and around this area. When asked about getting it to Knockhill etc, it was mentioned that Perth dealership may be better suited to attend. 6, Flyers, They have no issue with giving out flyers to all service and sales cars. We talked about Co Branding of these and this is something that they would be willing to accept. 7, Club Membership Applications, I have asked if they would also issue these with all sales and services, On this topic i have PMed Phil with possible thought of any completed forms returned with a T&C subaru stamp on it, Will give them the chance to join at a reduced rate of £29.99 instead of the normal £35(approved cheers Phil[]) 8, Tyre deals, as they get there tyres from Kenway there is little to no mark up on these, and they can not compete with internet prices. So things may be looking up and lets hope they come back to us with some nice propsals re costs. I will keep you informed Craig

They currently have 3 cars available for use, an 06 impreza sport, ans 2 06 Legacy's As you can appriciate this costs money for them to have customer loan cars. They have to take 17k worth of car out the showroom for this, and this in turn leads to depriciation and loss, the same as all garages. There are very few garages in Aberdeen who have in excess of 3 or 4 loan cars, and if they do they are usually Micra's etc small cost and lay out. Some great Questions and i am preparing today and will tomorrow morning for this meet and all your worth while comments will be discussed. Craig

St3ph3n I have a great relationship with Kev, Have known him for around 5 years now from classic days through Westfield till now. He was one of the main instigators in this too. How about a SIDC tax disc holders with all new car sales? Or SIDC Town and County back window stickers? They have made it clear that they are willing and wanting to discuss costs/deals etc/services etc. Great Ideas, from some but still very little from ABZ drivers, poor show again.[] People make the effort to try things like this and all goes quiet Listen folks this is your chance to load the gun and am the man to pull the trigger so come lets hear you, you are all quick enough to moan about this that and the next about them......so now is your one chance to try and make a difference. Ari, JohnS and myself have discussed this before and i had a chat with Rosie and Spooks on Saturday. Aberdeen Bikers do this on a MASSIVE scale in Aberdeen already, and it is something we may discuss with them. We dont want to get involved and cause possible cross wires/overkill Perhaps we should contact them and ask if we can assit them raise funds and get involved in some way shape or form Craig

Folks I have a meeting on Wednesday afternoon with Town and County Subaru Aberdeen. The subject and topic of conversation will be to see where they can help us out with some deals etc for services, repairs and all types of work carried out on our cars. The meeting will be attended by T&C General Manager, T&C Service Manager and hopefully Kev the head Mechanic. So i would be grateful if you could post up your suggestions and requests so as i can put them to them on Wednesday. Please be reasonable and no cr4p out there suggestions please, as its a waste of everyones time So please keep it real and lets see what we can get in way of prices, savings etc. If we can hammer out some great offers/deals, JohnS has already mentioned a couple of ideas, and that we may be able to get them a mention in a future edition of "True Grip" So get your thinking caps on and put your ideas suggestions forward.
