  1. A big fat 1.1mm was recommended for the standard plug so i would guess it would be the same for uprated plugs plus if your running higher boost than normal you will need a fatter spark to cope with the higher combustion temps/pressure.[H][H]
  2. There are ways around the cat test to fool the system.....[]
  3. If its missing just the centre cat then passing the emissions test shouldn't be any problem at all.[] P.S, I hope the lads at Popular Motors dont mind you posting on an internet forum the implication that extra beer tokens will help sway a test result. (Apologies if thats not what you mean but you never know who may read your post.)[*-)]
  4. No probs chaps,to be honest though the Scoob was the hero on Sunday,i just stood about saying "yeah that'll be alright"...[] Coming 2nd in class after only your third outting must mean the whole package is moving in the right direction, Roll on the next event.[][] Mark.

  8. I didn't know Rob for long but he was a genuine nice guy. I will allways remember the time when while following him on to the M20 at J6 he started swerving all over the chevrons kicking up the dirt and debris,he must have been doing 90+. When i mentioned it later to him he laughed and said his phone was in his back pocket and he was trying to fish it out,Top man.....
  9. I went into Fox's toyota today (badgers mount A224 nr orpington),and they have recently changed to a citroen franchise (that will keep the workshop busy) but talking to the service manager he said that from the 8th of feb they will be a subaru dealer as well, and they have a couple of technicians from Spring park subaru already there. As for recomending a garage etc i find its sods law that when you do it tends to go tits up in some way

  16. Clarkson and co spotted that jacket within ten mins of the filming kicking off, his coments were along the lines of a subaru drivers knuckles drag along the ground and they have a vacant look about them
  17. He has !!!! thats why its been edited to try and clean it up We dont call him Satan child for nothing!!!!!
  18. Her indoors said she could just make out my shiney forehead in one shot There was a certain luvvey in the blue subaru jacket who managed to stand in the right places, Its a shame they edited out so much of the chat in the news item part (thier thoughts on a certain senior policeman and the problems he would have picking up the soap in the prision showers just couldn't be broadcast). P.S I understand that Arron can only be contacted via his agent now days.
  19. I once heard a story of an AA patrol who was attending a broken down transit on the motorway that needed towing off to a place of safety. The AA guy conected the transit to his van using a solid tow pole and explained to the driver how all he had to do was steer his van behind his and that any braking would be done by the AA van. Both drivers got in thier vans and were waiting for a gap in the traffic so they could move off the hard shoulder, while waiting the transit van drivers wife pulled up behind them and the husband gets out to talk to her. AA guy not knowing this pulls away taking the driverless transit with him, driving along the patrol looks in his mirrors to see the transit van first in his n/s mirror then in his o/s mirror wandering all over the road and thinks to himself this bloke must have got his driving licence out of a cornflake box. Futher down the motorway the transits wandering is starting to worry him as its now using the middle lane when he is still in the first lane, this is when he realises he cant see anyone at the wheel. Luckily the traffic around him was keeping well out the way (as you would) an he managed to gently slow down and run the transit along the armco on the hard shoulder trashing the side of the transit but stopping it. Obviously the RAC are far too professional to behave like this.
  20. Morning Pele, did u receive my crimbo menu email ????? (my computer is so old its coal powered and i wasn't sure if i had enough steam up to send it)
  21. Them there tyres you need came from R.M originally,if i remember correctly they were £68 each all inclusive. If the price is way over that give me a ring as i might be able to get them a bit cheaper for you. (used to put a fair bit of work thier way in a previous life).
  22. Congrats on your up and coming Birthday(no mention of age i see)!!! (that must be something to do with the thing about not asking a lady her age or looking in her handbag)?? Make sure all those candles on the cake dont scorch the ceiling,Enjoy your day and be lucky... Mark.
  23. New age 17s as standard hence no rubbing,Classics 16s as standard hence your tyres rubbing on the rear arches...
  24. Sheepie,is your wagon a classic shape one ??????????
  25. Whats your tyre size as i've been through this recently, you really need to have a 40 profile tyre with a 215 tread width. Anything bigger/wider will touch on the rear arch when loaded or cornering ,as i said been there, done that and worn the T shirt.
