if you google subaru engines codes it will come up with cathrineandken website has all the diff codes for what engines Greig

pretty sure red tops were sti ver3 onwards ver2 was silver and had the coilpacks on the side of heads not up top who knows what that engine is. maybe ask for the engine codes to check them Greig

Hi mate my view go for the evo. I love Scoobys and everything they are but evos are amazing. i spent the cast on my blob wrx full 3"decat sti intercooler uprated fuel pump and panel filter Then Andy F remap. Car was amazing and great fun but after all that your only looking at kicking out 280-300bhp and the same nm. As Grant says do those things to an evo and it will thro you another 100 bhp. Only weak point for evo is clutch but engines and gearboxs stand up no probs especially on the 7/8/9s. Iv got a classic the now for hillclimbing (unfortunatly with melted engine.) its has a proven 265bhp at the wheels which is around 300bhp at fly?? and a pretty light car. next door has evo 5 with a decat producing 330 bhp evo is a completly diff machine if i could pick id swap him. Curently selling my z4 to buy evo 9. drove a evo7 fq300 that had a decat and pushed out 330 bhp wiuth no remap. well better than my wrx

As regards to kiniel was told they have hired in some kind of portable boilers, so that they can keep some of there trains going but as you say once they run out of places to put it, who knows. We feed straight off Kiniel and were half shut down just now. if they dont have anything in place for steam and services then they are down as grangemouth power station is cuming down. As for shell i think bp and shell have an agreement that bp add shells additive up here to make v power and down south shell add bp`s for ultimate. See the Vpower tankers cuming out all the time lol, doesn`t mean thats whats in it tho.

No joke this is really just a heads up as the plants are starting to shut down now. Think the Refinery starts shutting down on monday then it gets really serious for the average guy as the prediction is this friday comeing is when the fuel goes dry????? Don`t know if this is right but won`t be too far away. What we were also told was that if the dispute is not settled after the 2 day strike then the plants will stay down till it is. So that they ain`t up and down and risking damage or saftey. Greig

Obbster im Chemicals too KG, but as far as im lead to believe v power will come from Ineos as it is an additive that is added to the fuel? Is that not why it is not so good to leave a tank of v power sitting in your scoob for too long as seperation can occur witht the fuel and the additive? P.S im on the nightshift the now we`ve been told diesel will go first too. but once everyone is out the will be noone to fill the tankers anyway, also don`t think tanker drivers will cross the picket. Aye my man looking ok just overalls to sort and i should be all good. Question for you tho john should i run the A048s that only have bout 3 mil on or run the Dunlop formula R`s d01js that are only just about scrubbed in? One more question too you think there is any diff running 05 wrx wheels to 04 sti wheels ??? does the sti wheels give me a wider track and there fore more grip? cheers Grewig

Well here it is got a lot of well thought out mods on it and goes up the hills pretty well. what yous think graphics next.

Ill be out this year rookie year hillclimbing. Red classic prob mostly at forrestburn. Done a few practice days so far and things looking good. Check out Monklands sporting car club forum for some pics in the fun night section. Greig (thankfully none of my first off tho lol pushed a bit too hard in falling snow with some A048s that weren`t too warm.)
