Not sure about the HUs in Scooby's, but in my Mk4 Golf, the Blaupunkt unit had a socket on the back of it and you could buy an adaptor that plugged into it and gave a pair of pre-outs (gave better quality than converting speaker cable to pre-out...) Worth thinking about, but if it's not the case.... £20 for convertors is better than £200+ for a new HU!
