Can someone please advise me? >> I thought that the whole world knew..... I'm shocked to learn that there is something going on over here that not everyone knows about!
  3. from what they said it will be where they are now (at least for the short term) give them a call and ask for Chris, he is not shy.....

  9. Does anyone know where I can find an entry list onlin for this event?
  10. << Thanks for that Richard dude ... Do you know why they are pulling out M8???? >> there is a rumour that they were never really interested in the IOM market, but wanted an Audi dealership in London, but Audi would only allow an exsisting Audi dealer to the get the one in London.
  11. I have a classic (00 UK 2l turbo) and a new age (03 uk sti ppp) both have gotta go in the next 6 weeks or so, if you know anyone?
  12. Anyone ever seen the film wraith? the back car in that, IRL based on the crysler interceptor.
  13. Had the people from Subaru customer service ring me this morning to tell me that they are 'sorting out the return of my car to the IOM' when I told him that under normal circumstances I would find this call a bit of a shock, he asked "Why?" he seemed surprised to learn that my car was already on the Island and waiting for me to collect it. Since last Monday : I have called Subaru Assistance 56 times I have spoken to the garage 23 times I have spoken to the hire company 18 times I have spoken to the local hiring agents 17 times I have spoken to Subaru Customer Service 13 times I have spoken to IOM Steam Packet 7 times I have spoken to local recovery agent 5 times To save you a headache working it out that?s 139 calls for a job that could have been completed by a decent garage in less than 2 hours. But in order for the car to retain its warranty status the work HAD to be carried out by an authorised Subaru repair centre. I did try very hard to get IM to send the parts required, and although they said that they would send them, unless they were fitted by a ?Subaru Repair Centre? the warranty would be invalidated. When I bought my car, I did so under the impression that should something stop working I would make 1 call and it would get sorted. I paid a large amount of money I large amount me for even if not everyone) for a UK car (lower spec than a cheaper faster JDM) so I didn?t have to worry about repairs. Don?t misunderstand me, I wanted a Scooby for a long time, I love the car, but the customer service sucks, and does so big time. I will change cars in the next month, I will more than likely replace it with another (cheaper) Scooby or I might just buy a 1.6 focus, that way when I break it, I can get it fixed without wasting approx 8-12 hours of my life.
  14. Today, I made a decision: I need a car that can be worked on locally without invalidating the warranty, and as such I?m selling the scoob. I can?t cope with my car going for a two hour job and it take a week for me to see it again, so time to unload the Scooby and buy something else, something that when I break it (and I always break them) I can drive down to the local garage drop it off, pick up a courtesy car, drive it for a day, and them get mine back. I know that this seems somewhat excessive, but a week without my car and over 6 hours on the phone just to get an air flow meter swapped, has proper p1ssed me off. If anyone knows of someone who will give a good home to an 03 STI Type UK PPP with a 11,000 miles on let me know?
  15. now, bear in mind, everything I know about cars and oily bits and such like, can be written on the back of a very small stamp in very big letters...... But it's just flat, got a STI type UK PPP (03) and my g/f's standard 2000 turbo (2000) is quicker. The currrent thinking is an air flow meter (whatever that is.) Chao from garage rung me and asked lots of questions telling me that there was nothing wrong with it, so I just gave him the phone no for SCP, told him to ask for Paul, dangermouse put him str8 in no time..... I will keep you updated (if your interested)
  16. But only this morning the scoob was on the boat I have to drive a nissan almera at the mo, octane booster NOT required Scoob sould be back in week or so, I'll be along as soon as it lands
  17. Richard, has your shipment landed yet??? Getting sick of the flatspots of SUL
  18. I will have it....... I'll either pop in tonight or tomorrow, can you leave it somewhere on the QT???? I don't mind coming in and asking for some of the 'under the counter special'
  19. If I were to order some from the interweb, where would be a good place? Should I get MILLERS VSP-PLUS or MILLERS Octane Booster ?
  20. Usually I get it from there, but all sold out, or at least they were on Sunday.....
  21. Any idea where I can get some on the Island?
  22. My 2 penneth worth: Increase the driving age (to anything under 32, guess my age if you like; ) Extend the R period (to anything under 16 years, guess how long I've been driving; ) Install speed cams in every restricted zone (no need to drive 30+ in a 30 etc; ) Drop the blood/alcohol limit to zero (shouldn't be driving really if you have had anything to drink; ) MOT type testing for all cars (if it ain't roadworthy, it shouldn't be on the road; ) But do NOT impose a national speed limit. I know how fast I can drive on an open road, I know when to drive like a snail, I'm big enough (and some may say ugly enough) to make the occasional choice. I am what is often refered to as a 'lurker' on here, but thought I would voice my opinions on this one.
