Dave did you manage to fit the lower strut brace you bought ? how difficult was it ? and how do you do it with not having a lift etc... ?

yeah he showed me the batteries in the meter were ok. then stood about 1 metre from the exhaust pipe and asked me to rev it to 5000rpm and keep it there for approx 10/15 seconds.

It's ok now, the comany supplying the wheels are doing me a set of 4 yokohama 225/35/18 fitted and balanced for £380, not too bad !

I am just looking for the minimum for them mate. Otherwise i will have 3 sets come next weekend.

well i have never been pulled either, this is someone complaining in the street my girlfriend lives in, as when i go to leave at 10/11 at night, i don't think it goes down too well. Oh well, i have now got the bung back in and i'm getting it tested on wedneday lunch time, so i'll let you guys know. my only worry is i had this setup last september and i got 94db but since i have added an apexi dual filter induction kit, so me it has made no noise difference from the green filter i had before, but lets hope it hasn't.

yeah, the wheels have been ordered in the correct offset for the scooby. Hopefulyl get them by the end of the week, so i'll maybe take a few pictures and put them up. dooahhdoo if your interested in the o.z.'s let me know.

i brought my car over from a uk seller, so i had it go through the test last september with the blitz nur spec R on with the bung in. So i will just put the bung back in and hope for the same score if not, i have my old sti exhaust system which makes NO noise and i will swap them for a day or two.

woohoo, i've been asked to go to the test centre as someone (i know hwo) has complained about the noise of my car. Lucky i have a tasty blitz bung which gets me a nice 94db, nicely under the legal 101bd requirement. So i'll go up to amuse them. Have any of you guys had any trouble like this before ?

ok, probably not of much interest, but thought i might try and get shot of some of the extra parts i seem to have picked up. Open to offers on all parts. Aluminium rear strut brace (for rally car use or road car with no back seats). Classic fitment Set of Original Type R alloys in gold (wheels can only be described as 100% perfect ! have tyres on, but not road worhty) Orange Front Indicators to fit a 99/00 bumper Original black bonnet vents for face lift classic bonnet. Original airbox and assembley (including green panel filter in good condition) Standard re-circulating Dump Valve and piping for 99/00 intercooler Standard STi centre and back exhaust system. (VERY quiet, you could barly hear my car when this was on) Black Standard electric wing mirrors (to be removed next week, when new ones show up) Also have a Skyline R33 GTR standard turbo Plus i have 17" Gold O.Z. Supperlegga's with good tyres (on the car now) which i would like to swap with someone that may have a 17" white or silver wheel. Any questions put a post on here or give me a call on 498753.

Was thinking about returning to the land of skyline, but sensibility has the better of me ! end of the day the impreza is 100 times cheaper to keep and run, so let the modding begin Cheers for the info dave ! So once again looks like i'm kind of stuck with the bloody ecu ! I totalled up a trip to the uk and getting the ECUtek remapped and i reocn we are looking at £1K. For that i could out right buy an Apexi Power FC and Commander and fit it in. But the problem again would be mapping. Dave have you got the knowledge or a basic map i could use to map my own Apexi ?

I have been offered Equal Length headers (H&S) for my impreza. But before i go ahead i have a few questions which i was hoping maybe you guys could answer. 1. With them being equal length, i know you loose the impreza burble, but does this also mean you loose the loudness of the exhaust too or is it just a different sound ? 2. What gains can i expect over the standard headers ? 3. After this is fitted will my car be ok with not having the ECU remapped ? (99 STI Type R) All advice welcome ! good or bad.
