  1. damm, the shell station just off the roundabout @ Perth before you head up the A9 to wards Inverness is closed changing over to BP no more Optimax for me then. the next one is @ Inverness just about got caught short tomight never put ultimate in the scooby yet is it really worse than optimax read a few threads on here that makes me think it is. See the thing is I work for BP and look after the retails site (filling stations) north scotland and the islands and BP claim that their additive is far superior to optimax Mr Graham Simms the head retail man got quite upset with me when I said rubbish optimax is much better thought my P45 was in the post this is a real problem for me as I want to use my company discount with BP but don't want to bugger my car up or loose performance.

  8. mmmmmmmmmmmmm, Go out sit in the car with your hand on the horn for a good 5 mins. then let them try and complain cause I'm sure by law it's ok to use your car horn between 7am and 11pm.
  9. leaning towards the prodrive just to keep everything the same. but if I buy prodrive then I will have silver calipers on front with prodrive on them and red subaru calipers on the rear. is there any calipers that I can put on the rear. Although If I buy AP then they can be red but got AP on my mini and was looking for something different got Brembo on our V10 Touareg. Has anybody got Galfer brakes saw them @ Leda when I was down earlier in the year and they swear buy them.
  10. << You won the lottery scottie? Your on a right old spending spree just now lol >> yip. decided spend on the new car instead off taking any holiday this year plus just got my bonus from work
  11. was thinking of upgrading my brakes should I just go with the Prodrive from the dealer or get Brembo maybe AP Racing. What about Tarox. I have 18" wheels on will they be ok with big brakes. Can you buy matching brakes for the back so I can keep the look the same obvioulsy they will not be big brakes like the front. will this affect my warranity.
  12. << Tell me more? www.clydeshipping.co.uk >> well for a period of five weeks this season calmac are going to be running two ferries
  13. I've got one might see you over @ www.newminiscotland.co.uk
  14. << no idea about that but how about letting me know where you managed to get the armrest extension you posted about last week? A pic would be nice too! >> sorry forgot will take some pics waiting till weekend its still dark by the time I get home from work Looks not to bad it's for a LHD and have to do a few we teaks for it to fit the clip to raise is on the wrong side but works fine for me have to break bottom of the clip so it's flush with the bottom of the armrest.
  15. clicky It's the one that fits under the Head Unit. Now I've got the same set up after fitting similar head unit. Bought it more for eye candy than anything else I know it fit it to the thing down near the steering wheel. I stay Inverness any recommendation who I could get to fit this no good with that kinda thing don't want any visible cables will this just slide in to the gap under the radio must have to drill a hole at the back to feed cable just to complicated for us women.
  16. << Beyond Petroleum... >> hey I work for them to for 25 years this September not offshore mind but @ Grangemouth on relocation @ Inverness the now
  17. << Fixed for ya Spooks >> how did you do that I've tried everything being a bit blonde I think.
  18. clicky ok I was fed up tonight so I started to look for new wheels for the scooby. ended up going on to Boyd Coddington ( American Hotrod) phoned them and ordered these wheels should be here in six weeks. also they are throwing in a signed t-shirt whoopee.
  19. << Cal Mac will NEVER be able (or even think about trying) to handle the traffic. Just ask Johnny Dumfries. SIDC events will be on-going throughout the summer. >> unless you have contacts with calmac
  20. << better clarify "slipping" over ... suppose on a 70mph stretch of our majestys finest carriageway.. when would the wee beastie begin to bleep..bleep..bleep..bleep..bleep..?? are we talking silent at 75-80? then bleeps after that? >> well I've had mine up 116mph on a private stretch of road ofcourse and it has not beeped at me yet.
  21. it dosen't beep when ever I slip over the speed limit. also got a wee gizmo fitted down by the number plate
  22. I did have the new road angel but due to the fact it did not warn me of a laser speed trap which was later explained to me why. I changed over to the road pilot and got to say it's far better than the road angel clicky p.s. how do I upload a pic direct on to the site without a link
  23. << Nice cars Fiona, 275bhp on a mini sounds mental, what level of traction do you get? How does it compare to the scoob, call me a nosey bugger lol. Gordon >> well to be truely honest 275 bhp is to much for the car when you floor it you realy have to hang to that steering. with it being supercharged I feel the speed more instant than the scooby but haven't opened the scooby up yet really got leda suspension on the mini with the gas bump and rebound etc in fact the exact same set up as the John Cooper Works challenge cars in the States and boy can you whip it round the corners right on the limit hugging just till you feel the back straining to let go. I have say saw of a Scooby was a bit of payback about 3 weeks previous a scooby overtook me on the road just off the tore roundabout heading towards muir of ord it was a realy agressive move by them resulting in a big huge stone coming up and getting my windscreen on my week old mini cabrio so if you are reading this ta very much had to get a new windscreen. However a couple of weeks ago was in the blue mini hard top saw them in front of me on the same road and it was me that zapped past you leaving you for dead.
  24. got the Prodrive performance pack fiited on to my 05 Wagon today. Just got to say I'm well chuffed and love the sound from my exhaust.
  25. << I take it your a lover of mini's then............. I wont tell you my proffesion but needless to say ................. Where do you get your mini servicing done? Spooks >> afraid so actually I have two a Mini Cooper s Hard Top275 bhp and a Mini Cooper S Cabrio 210 jcw. Both bought from Calterdon Invenress ">Hard Top [/">Rag Top
