  1. Hi all, Wondering if anyone could recommend anywhere in the Bucks / MK area for wheel respraying? Looking to get my gold PFF-7's redone, or changed to black! Thanks. DZ
  2. Excellent many thanks for the comments and info regarding settings, I suspect I'll be leaving the Anti-Lift Kit for now and just going fot the Super Streets with upper mounts. Thanks gain.
  3. Hi all, Looking for a bit of advice. My 03 Sti has finally surcome to the dreaded suspension knock! So I'm about to take the plunge and have a set of TEIN Super Street (with upper mounts fitted). However I'm wondering if its worth having an Anti-Lift Kit fitted at the same time (before getting the geometry redone)? I've done some research and opinions are mixed! however the majority of info appears to suggest that an ALK effectives is likely to be very limited after having the TEIN SS fitted. Any advice, recommendations or experience of the above is welcomed. Thanks.
  4. Nice one, thanks for the info. Anyone else got Noisekiller fitted? At the moment I'm thinking boot kit + rear seat piece.
  5. Hi all, Hoping that I can once again benefit from peoples knowledge and experiences. Just had the TSL 333 upgrade done on my car and would like to reduce the noise from the backbox a little, as on long motorway runs it can get a bit to much. So did some searching and most people seemed to recommend the Noisekiller kits as an effective, and good value option for sound deadening. So made contact with Noisekiller about prices, kits, etc and I've got a couple of options. I was initially thinking of just going for the Boot Kit (£89 Inc VAT and delivery), but am now also considering buying the additional piece for under the rear seat (£15). So firstly wanted to get poeples thoughts on the Noisekiller kits, are they effective? worth the money? Secondly is it worth going for the additional rear seat piece? Many thanks for the help / advice.
  6. Anyone know if TSL provide a warranty with the 333 conversion?
  7. Anyone know what the torque figures are like for the Powerstation Street Legal Package (Subaru Impreza MY01+ UK 2.0 STi)? as I've heard they can be a little low. Thanks.
  8. Many thanks for all the replies / info. At the moment its looking like WRC Tech maybe my choice, even though it costs more its sound like its worth the extra. BTW anyone know if the EVO Magazine article in the June 2004 edition compared any of WRC Tech's upgrades, as I'm trying to track down a copy at the moment. Thanks again.
  9. Many thanks for the info so far. Anyone else had either the TSL 333, Powerstation or WRC Tech 330 upgrade done? Also I've heard that the WRC Tech upgrade can provide more torque than either the TSL / Powerstation (although not sure how much difference it'll make in the real world). BTW anyone got a valid e-mail address for WRC Tech, as the one on their website fails Once again, thanks for the info / advice so far.
  10. Hi all, Hoping to benefit from the knowledge / experience of booard members. At the moment I've got a standard Sti8 and want more / smoother power delivery, and have a budget of £1500 - £2000. I'm therefore considering either the TSL 333 or WRC Tech 330 upgrades, and am hoping that board members can offer advice / guidance on which to go for (experiences with each company, after sales support, performance of the upgrades, etc). I look forward to reading your responses. Thanks for your help.
  11. Hi all, Just wondering if anyone is aware of a dealer that offers discount on the PPP (for MY03 STI), preperably in the Midlands / South? Been told by one dealer that PPP is never discounted ! Is this correct? Many thanks for the help.
  12. 555JRA, Could I ask where you got the cartoon pig stickers you've got on the wing mirrors? Thanks.
  13. Hi all, Well I was about to arrange to get the PPP fitted to my Sti8, but have recently been reading a number of threads were people are saying the difference between a standard Sti8 and one with PPP isn't worth the money! Now I know I could wait for the warranty to expire and have a third party kit fitted (i.e. TSL 333), but TBH I'm more comfortable with the idea of having a Subaru approved kit fitted. So I'm now stuck, and just cannot make my mind up what to do! Get the PPP fitted, or just carry on enjoying the car in its standard form. Any adivce/opinions would be welcomed. Thanks.
  14. I have done in the past, but at the moment I've just got so much to do but I still want to keep the car looking like it should.
  15. Hi all, Does anyone know of, or could recommend a valeters in the Buckinghamshire / Milton Keynes area? Many thanks for the help.
  16. Hi all, Well I've had the US Version of GT4 for a while now, and can say its an excellent game. Plus I thought some of you might like a few Subaru images I've taken using the games photo mode. (All the below images are 1280x960) Photo 1 Photo 2 Photo 3 Photo 4 Photo 5 Photo 6
  17. << I have a o3 sti and had this mod done a few weeks ago. What a difference, cant recomend it enough. for the money it is well worth it Matt >> Matt could I ask which drop links did you go for? I here the TSL ones are good. Thanks.
  18. Hi all, Just been reading the rear drop link mod article in the latest True Grip (another quality edition), and was wondering if this mod is worth doing on a MY03 Sti? and if it would invalidate the warrany? Any info / advice welcomed. Thanks all.
  19. Looking very nice. Are these available in the UK yet?
  20. Hi all, Looking very nice. Anyone got any more pics of the TRU front splitter fitted to a Blue 03 Sti (I can't decide between blue and black). Also anyone fitted one to a car with the Prodrive suspension kit (is scrapping going to be a problem)? Thanks all.
  21. Looking very nice. Been thinking of getting one myself, but just can't decisde between blue or black.
  22. Hi all, Does anyone know if Prodrive will be doing the Banbury site tours in aid of Children In Need again this year? as I went last year and really enjoyed it, but would love to take along my godson as a present for his up coming birthday. Many thanks.
  23. Looking very nice indeed. Wonder how a blue one would look on an Blue 03 Sti !!
  24. Hi all, The below information may be of some assistance to newage owners (MY03 and onwards) that are experiencing battery problems. I'm currently the owner of a MY03 Sti and have had three new batteries fitted by my Subaru dealer. My problems all started when I began to work from home and thus the car wasn't used for long distance travel everyday. It seemed to take an average of 5-7 days of low use for the battery to go flat!! The dealer first off changed the original battery, as there was apparently a known issue with a few of the original batteries supplied with some MY03+ cars (apparently a result of the cars being sat at the docks, then being jump started for delivery and subsequently the batteries not being fully charged). The second battery was fitted after the battery again went flat, and no cause could be found. Both Subaru assist and the Subaru dealer did a full check over and couldn't find an abnormal drain, and thus put the problem down to a faulty replacement battery. However the new battery then went flat again after approximately only a month and a half!! At which point Subaru UK offered a new potential final solution to the problem (based on new information they?d received from a third party). The solution was based around the RAC Tracker system, and the amount of time it took the system to go into sleep mode. Basically as far as I understand the situation is that by default the RAC Tracker system fitted to UK Subaru's takes six hours to go into sleep mode (My research has found that both UK BMW's and Audi?s fitted with RAC Trackers have their units adjusted to go into sleep mode after 15-30mins). Therefore I agreed to let the RAC fit an adjusted RAC Tracker unit to my car (still provides the same protection, as a standard unit), which was set to go into sleep mode after only 30 minutes of inactivity. Well I had the adjusted RAC Tracker unit fitted in early May, and have yet to have experience another flat battery (touch wood!!).
