apart from the lambda sensor and the cat what else can be faulty if a test fails ?

What else apart from a lambda sensor and the cat can cause a failure on the emissioms test ?

Just failed emission test on mot and was told the Lambda sensor was not working. got hold of one from a breakers,fitted it then took the car back for emission test and it failed again. Problem is now that today my CHECK ENGINE light came on. If i have put the wrong sensor in could this be the cause of the light coming on.

My car has just failed the emissions test on the mot. Had the lambda sensor checked and have been told its not working as it should.Can anyone give me some info as to where i can get one from. My impreza is a 93 STi. thanks for any info. I live in the wrexham area in n wales. Cheers, Geraint

Can anyone help me locate a rear window for my scoobie. Front and back have been put through by some coward. Can get a front windscreen but the company doing the job are having difficulty finding a rear window. My car is a 93 k plate impreza STI,the glass has a brown tint and a hole for the rear wiper. Got pulled up and the very nice occifer told me my number plate on the front of the car was illegal as it was too small.Dont know till this day how the hell he seen it from behind me ?
