it goes with the type of car we drive fcourse,,i mean there is a positive side to it in the sense that if some scum bag stole your car its reassuring to know that he is more likely than not to get a pull,,,

seen the cops a mile off,, smart range rover, so i slowed down to 65mph,,they slowed to 50 ,,,went behind me, then wen to my side then behind again,,i thought what the `f` these guys plating at,,then the inevitable,,lights go on and i get pulled,,obviously i commited no offence ,,so they spent 20 mins talking to me about my car and how nice it looks and 1 min doing thier job and taking my details,,copper says thats a ``f****** fantastic car,,, asked about the rear lights ,,gear nob,,and a whole host f bullshit and wasting my time,,,i wonder if they just wanted a look and do thier nosy,,lol,,any one else had similair experiences ????

good advice to retain them then,,,im confused on why there there in the first place,,was thinking of changing them to the wire mesh type scoops from scooby world,,,maybe take the covers of then as less water would get through these,,

the trust induction kit i had was building too much hot air around that area,,te hot air had no where to escape,,bascally speaking,,sti would have considered the standard airbox a top notch mod as they themselves would have gotten rid of it if it wasnt up to scratch,,,also the standard box has a fixing to the side of the inner wing,,this gives it cold air directy to the engine wen car is on the move,,has anyone consideretaking of the covers under the bonnet scoops,,,,

mines is the jap spec sti version 2,,it is already highly tuned and very quick with basically only the full exhaust mod turbo back,,,it giving a tad over 280 bhp now,,and i aint even seriously gone and started modyfying, i can only imagine it`l have slk`s for lunch after that,,last night was just a midnight snack,,lol

hi all,,since ive bought my sti 2,,like a little child,,ive been spending a little unwisely so to speak,,,apart from a good few interior and exterior mods,,including full decat ex system,, i also bought a airinx trust iduction kit,,to say this kit hampered my performance is an absolute understatement. When my car was on the rollers we recorded something in the region of 60od degrees of temp in thier,,the kit is basically like a yellow mushroom design,,a brillo pad if u want,,cos it would clean dishes better than perform under the bonnet. I ve now replaced this kit with the standard sti airbox with its panel filter,and boy does the car move,,i sounds great too as now i can hear the full flat four exhaust rumble,,,,the performance of the car has actually improved 10 fold,,and that is no brag,,so be careful what u spend your money on,,its very easy to want to ``improve`` above standard,,but change is not always a good thing,,,,cheers..

i waited 5 weeks for my snap off kit to arrive at my local suppliers, i bought a momo millenium steering wheel to go with the snap off,,when igot it fitted the mechanic came out the workshop and told me that the steeing wheel is too close to your face,,i thought maybe inch or two,,to say i was shocked when i seen it is an understatement,, the steering wheel was no more than a few inches from my chest,,,sitting high,,,and very awkward,,,,i got peed off as i though it was the perfect complement to security i had already,,i calledthe supplier in this case demom tweeks who said the kits for the scooby were made like this,,so any of you lads thinking of buying on,,DONT``` until te get the design right,,,,

mud guards look cool,, i was thinking og buying a set myself,,but opted for the plastic splash guards instead,,,i thinkthey kind of complement the cars lines,,imo,,,not cheap though,,theyskined me for 180,,plus 30 for fiting,,ouch....... they make a huge difference to stones going smack under my car when im driving,,

i dont have the foggiest idea about the legality of this proposal but how would us members warm to naming and shaming the halfwits out there in the tuning industry / car sales or services related to our types of motors. Ok,,maybe im a little peed off at being taken for a great big ride by the company who i was dealing with in order to get my brakes and a whole host of other silly lil problems sorted,,but i can bet my last pound that there will be plenty of people on this forum who have / are / continue to be harassed by those ``performance centres``car garages``import centres`we work hard for our money, we sweat and save for those goodies for our beloved motors, so why accept below standard service or being taken for a runaround ,,as an example i have spent in the first week of buying my import from the same garage,/ perfomance centre, 1800 pounds on various goods from rear lights to steering wheels to alloy wheels,,ive had steering wheels mis aligned, side mirror cracked, brakes worn and grinding to oblivion, the standard warranty not being obliged , im just fed up now,,suing these firms will cost more money so thats not an option,,we have freedom of speech here so id appreciate if the moderators can shed some light on this please,,,if not ill find a way to star my own underground site for naming and saming,,i have plety of folk just fed up with these antics,,,

i feel for u guys,,u work hard for your cars and thieving scum come round nicking them,,sad but a realistic fact of everyday life,,,my friend had an attempted theft of his cosworth,,he heard the alarm for a split sec when the thieves must have found a way round to silence it,,he came down into the kitchen,,saw the thieves hard at work,my mate was standing sussing out how many there were ,,hiding in the kitchen with the light off,,when he clocked 2 of them,,he very quietley went outside with his triple action cs gas with pepp spray and ``dye``, and the batard was screaming for his life,,my mate left that nite to stay elswhee as an alibi,,funny thing is,,the dye was on the thieves face for 4 weeks,,does not wash off,,so as he waeventually found to be local,,the dye confirmed his actions a few days later,,,and he got mashed proper style,,again,,,no mercy tocar thives,,,id do the same anyday,,this country is too soft on these scums,,,
