you cannot compare a UK turbo against a STi, whether its jap or UK spec, trust me i have one of each at my door and the difference is night and day the Jap ones rule

you can get a jap import classic which will be in much better condition than most newages, throw the 2.5 with the ppg in there and bobs your uncle, if he`s looking for a track car he dosent want a lard arS3d newage, he wants something light and nimble

you could buy an old STi for that plus have a decent 2.5 block built along with a PPG kit for that

uk Spec Block probably from a UK turbo, standard gearbox box, all yours for only £12.500 dunno about you but i know i wouldent be looking to pay that ammount for the above
