  1. You wont get much of an increase in power even with a front mount TBH.
  2. lol, I cant see why they are blaming him when it was Vettel who made the move, A driver has a right to defend his position and not just give it away willy nilly to anybody who feels like taking it.
  3. lol I wouldent go as far as saying 'solved' more tend to go bang than stay together in one peice How hard you use it, how hard previous owners have used it, milage etc all play there part I guess, I was after circa 400 or so horses and there wasnt really alot of standard bolt ons available 4 years ago good for 400(ish) when I bought it, I dont think the 321H was even on the go when I got it either so the 20G was a no brainer really. The Sti 5- 6 boxes are 'supposedly' a wee bit stronger than the earlier ones. But like your own box would depend on previous use milage blah blah blah ohh compared to my old turbo its laggy as fook lol
  4. My gearbox has never given me any problems yet with my 20G and this is with trackdays as well but 'NO' 1/4 mile stuff after a year of use, I think mechanical sympathy goes a long way to the longtivity of these boxes. Some will get away with it others wont. Hope I havent just bloody jinxed myself lol
  5. Nope SW dont have a web site, if Andy.F recommends Steve that should be all that need's said on the subject TBH 2.5 or 2.1 its your call really, question is how far do you want to go?
  6. lol nope it isnt that although there are days I might think along those lines
  7. Yup, it is turbo dependant lol FTW For The Win
  8. SW Motorsport Edinburgh, Steve is responsible for some bonkers builds on here and my own very timid but 'with potential' one.
  9. I'm just wondering how bad thats going to smell before it catches fire lol
  10. Cant help but think 400 BHP can be done for alot less money than that, Alot of money for a Cosworth badge TBH.
  11. There are quite a few on here from up that neck of the woods, dont worry you're in safe hands
  12. looks more like a GP2 car unless your on about the renault?
  13. Was hoping to bump into you as well Frank, your the only long standing member of this forum I havent met yet! yup it was looking all nice and clean thanks to who ever washed it lol
  14. yup suspension is deffo next, never seen a top mount or all for disentegrate into powder before Still fancy the Exe TCs but dont have enough of a budget at short notice right now, might end up going for a set of BCs in the meantime
  15. The first one wasnt all it should have been due to a problem which I'll leave of the forum, the final one was done by Steve
  16. yup, already talked over the next round of mods for next winter with him today
  17. After 17 months off the road and a double rebuild in that time thats the first 190 miles on the clock of the run in with no issue The run home along the coastal roads were boring, slow, and tedious . But at the same time it felt good to be back behind the wheel again. Mucho appreciated lads!!
  18. Looks good, because of what it is it's better left unmodded IMO.
  19. Gutted for you Callum, I heard tonight from a 'reliable source' that it was indeed your car but decided not to mention it till you came along your self.
  20. Just do a sprint series and use the same rules as MLR, sorted
  21. F,ing well spotted Neil even DCI Lee didnt pick up on this!
  22. People could easily take it easy through out the space of the day only to unleash it on the last run to take a win and then say they got lucky or had a perfect run, easily done IMO
  23. Policing this would be a nightmare if your going by BHP, whats to say little Jonny claims he has 280 but actually has 350? All you are going on is peoples word and more often than not people will tell lies and enter in the easiest class for the sake of winning
