  1. Dude, cheers for the tip on parts. Bit expensive for release bearing but great for the other stuff. See you in New Hong Kong Thursday lunchtime
  2. Mine was running like a dog (hunting) a few years ago (yes, when it was actually running). I sorted mine by removing the MAF and giving a generous squirt of carb cleaner, leaving to evaporate and then another squirt. Not sure but I think the V2 MAFs are tougher than the later models as I have had a cone filter on now for 5 years and still on original MAF.
  3. Behind your fridge mostly mate Just been totally busy dude, tons of stuff going on so not enough hours in the day. You know how it is. At least this forum is alot more usable now than it was. Might see me sticking my head in a bit more
  4. Excellent. Thanks Andy. Go pour yourself a beer or 15 coz you have earned them
  5. Dudes, shiny new forum
  6. As above. Forgot I needed one of these. If not I will get one from over the big pond. ta Nick
  7. There is a silver 1996 WRX parked on the prom for £3500. Don't know the car though. Buyer beware!
  8. Been with Bell Direct for 5 years now (part of the Admiral group). They know about all my mods, parked on the street etc and I got a renewal for 650 notes this year. Phoned them and told the guy I wanted a discount and 1 minute later got 100 notes knocked off. sweeeeeeeeeeeeet.
  9. TBH I would just get a run of the mill number for starters and then sort out what you want later as you do need to get a bit of a move on with the application []
  10. Surely it can be done without Nick being here? The form is available from http://www.gov.im/lib/docs/post/registerav...urrentlyreg.pdf
  11. Not sure Nick. The guys up there are a law unto themselves and it all depends on who you get and what mood they are in when examining the car [:S] Two options are either get it registered now to a temporary address over here and get it changed when you move or just put it in for a test to see if it fails. If it fails they will give you a sheet with what it failed on, you rectify them, pay them another £25 and they inspect what has been done and give it a pass. Jobs done!
  12. Just a guess but I would say about 80KG. It is currently in High Wycombe. Cheers Dave Cheers Nick. Should be sorted by then. My boss is usually away every couple of weeks but with it running up to TT he hasn't been but he will end of June. Cheers anyway.
  13. Anyone got a trip planned away in a van or similar? The engine is shrink wrapped and clean so wont make a mess in any vehicle. Its gonna cost £107 + VAT to get it couriered back.[]
  14. Just got in from a great night watching the rally to an email saying I have to work tomorrow. I have to be there for 9 for a change to be made so hopefully it will go without a hitch and I can just head out to yours for 9:15 all being well. Get started without me and I will turn up when it is all done!
  15. Dave, Count me in. I am expensive though. It will cost a bacon, egg and sausage bap with brown sauce. No snot on the egg but the yolk has to be runny [] Depending on the finish you want on the concrete you can get them to add some extra water before they drop it. This will give extra time before it goes off. You can also add water yourself and mix it in which helps. As mentioned you will need a screed sturdy enough for the job. A good item to have to hand as well is a large sheet(s) of ply and some visqueen as if things go wrong like punctures on the barrows, the mini digger breaks down etc etc you can always dump the stuff onto the ply and visqueen to save you being charged extra by the readymix people. How many Metres are you getting Saturday? How deep do you intend the concrete to be? Do you have a vibrator? [:$] One of these is used after the pour to remove all the air from the concrete giving you a really strong finish. Not necessary if its only an inch or so but if you are going thicker I would consider hiring one. They look just like dildos connected to a small engine. You could borrow my Wifes but if I am not there she will be using it Saturday morning []
  16. They look well m8. Are they the same size as the originals?
  17. Hi, how about a 1996 Sti V2? Can one of these be mapped and if so do you have an approximate cost? Thanks
  18. Just think of it as a timeout. You will be back hopefully Just get one that means you don't have to deal with arseh0le main dealer. Warriors look cool dude
  19. An 06 with a scoobyclinic sticker and a classic with a SIDC sticker (who gave me a nod on the way off the boat). Anyone know who they are?
  20. Ouch. Not sweet Graeme [] Unfortunately these animals can sometimes have high running costs but at the end of the day they are family members so you will do your best for them. Hope the cat is OK now?
  21. Not mine either thankfully after the last episode of having paint poured over it [:@] Father in law had parcel tape wrapped around his car last night in Onchan and it stripped the laquer off when he pulled it off. Police as usual not interested until he kicked up a fuss []
  22. I would go for a decat Graham dude []
  23. M H R Helen. Have a good one.
  24. You should post this in General as peeps may have missed the news []
