Thanks everybody for your replies .. The saga continues .. Have phoned EVERY, and I mean EVERY , insurance co .. cheapest is Privilege ..... £1350 ! Interesting tho .. to do a comparison , phoned round some co.s for a quote on an STi .. cheapest ... £ 1050 ! .. Explain that one ! Also , while doing this , I phoned up L.V. to see if they would quote me on this STi . At first they did , £50 more , but then after checking with supervisor , they phoned me back saying " THEY ARE NOT WILLING TO INSURE ME WITH ANY VEHICLE ! " .. Now I want to know .. What have I done to deserve this ? Have I trashed a car or 2 or claimed lots of times ? No ... NOT ONCE ! Have I got any points on my license ? No . Have I a criminal record ? No . Now , I know I shouldn't , but I'm taking this personally ! Surely there's lots of worse people than me ?!? Barry .. U saying I'm folically challenged ?? Ken 275 .. Phoned More Than .. Didn't even get as far as a quote because , and I quote " We don't insure Subaru Imprezas because they're Group 19 and we only insure up to Group 18 cars " !! Sg72 .. Appreciate what ur saying but just wouldn't want to take the risk of driving a £20000 car and the insurance not paying out .. It's my 1st scoob + my pride and joy .. say u ended up in hospital or worse and u couldn't swap bits back .. I know I sound a woose but I hope u see my point . Gordon .. Cheers .. Just a warning to all L.V. policy holders .... Today I have NEVER been so mistreated in all my life by a company .. Received a phone call this morning asking what exact mods I have on the car . Told them the following : ALL Subaru approved + fitted by dealer .. PPP , Prodrive Sping Kit , Prodrive Strutbrace , J+R Panel filter , STi8 scoop + painted side sills ( latter wasnt important was told ) The UNDERWRITERS wanted to know because they said their computer was messed up . I had in the past ,back in May , asked about a Quickshift and upgrading to 18" wheels ( 2 weeks ago) but was told both times " If u go ahead with these mods we will cancel your policy . " Okay, bit unfair but okay , I thought . Was told today computer had me down as having upgraded wheels and thus was the reason for the phone call. When I gave them the above information , and hung up , I remembered I had forgotten to tell them about the J+R panel filter which I had fitted . Unfortuneately , I had to speak to another girl , who went into my records to see who it was that was dealing with this matter .. only to be told , someone had put a note yesterday that they were unhappy with the mods I had and they were going to give me 7 days notice !! Now , my gripe is this , EVERY mod I have done I have phoned up and asked 1st if it's okay to go ahead , and each time thay have said yes ..no problem . Also .. Im sure many people here will agree ..They're not exactly the most wild modifacations are they ?? SO WHY WONT THEY COVER MY CAR NOW ??? Have explained this but just get told " The UNDERWRITERS arent willing to cover your car anymore " . They also said that , back in May , I was told not to modify the car anymore .. THAT IS CORRECT .. BUT , about 6/7 weeks ago I removed a Forge DV and Afterburner BB on the car ( WHICH I HAD TOLD THEM ABOUT AND THEY HAD APPROVED AND HAD THERE FORE FITTED BEFORE MAY ) . NOW THIS IS UNBELIEVABLE ... Removing the Afterburner + DV and going back to standard IS MODIFYING THE F***ING CAR !! HOW STUPID IS THAT !! All this hastle .. £980 a year .. full 5 yrs NCD .. over 30 .. I dont need this .. I apologise if this is a bit of a ramble , but my brain is tired , I'm fed up and going to have a serious rethink about keeping the car . BTW I've phoned round EVERY insurance co. and the cheapest is £1390 ... NO WAY am I going to pay that .. Steve PS My cousin phoned to get a quote on my car ( as if he was buying it ) .. Didn't even get as far as a quote .. was told " I'm sorry , we don't have a 5 door Impreza on our system .. only 4 !! After explaining the situation he was told .." Yes , we've had 6 or 7 Subaru owners today dissappointed " ... WHAT IS GOING ON ?!?

Hi Scott, Thanks .. ANY Sunday would be good for me .. I'LL MAKE SURE OF IT !!! Know I haven't got a leg to stand on since the Re-runs are the priority . The reason I voted for a mid-week run is 'cause I can at least make it then .. If I can't get on I'll go some other time . It'll prob be a big dissappointment anyway , knowing my luck!! .. Being a cheeky beggar an' all that .. I would love to have gone on this for a 1st run ( since last time it was on a Saturday ) .. BUT .. ONCE AGAIN .. WHY O WHY DOES IT HAVE TO BE A SATURDAY ! I work every Saturday . When a re-run was mentioned I was told it would probably be a Sunday .. therefore I would vote for the small batches ( if I could get on the list , PLEASE ) . Steve
