  1. Jon - there is no charge for passengers (or additional drivers) on our track events. You can bring as many as you like Each passenger must complete an indemnity form (usually after the drivers briefing) and get issued with a wristband. A parent or guardian must sign the form if they are under 16. I believe the current minimum age is 14 Front passenger seat only, and no hand held camera or phones. Any cameras (go-pro etc) must be fixed to the inside of the car and checked by the marshals before heading out onto track. I will send out a full info pack a few days before the event once the final numbers and timings are known - typically on the Wednesday evening. John
  2. For the first time ever, the Modified Live event incorporating both Time Attack and the European Drift Championship is being held at the famous Angelsey circuit in Wales. Held on a bank holiday weekend, this event is sure to be very popular with competitors and spectators with fantastic viewing opportunities on the Welsh coastline. Early booking is highly recommended, especially if you want accommodation nearby for the night before.
  3. The spectacular season finale to the Time Attack and European Drifting Championships is being held at the newly revised Snetterton race track in Norfolk. As part of the Modified Live events, a large turn-out of cars on the club stand is expected to watch the thrilling on track action. Hundreds of visiting car clubs and traders offering heavily discounted bargains make this an event not to be missed.
  4. Time Attacks returns to the Mountain!! The fastest road legal cars in the country battle it out around the technically demanding Cadwell Park, famous for it's Mountain section where the cars get fully airborne!

    For the first time ever, the Modified Live team lay on a whole weekend of entertainment and track action at Brands Hatch in Kent. One of the best attended events in the club calendar, a high turn-out is anticipated.
  6. The Time Attack season kicks off in style on Saturday 16th April at the ever popular Oulton Park. Being centrally located, a good club turn out is expected at this event. It is an ideal chance for you to display your car on the club stand, showing off all the care and modifications performed over the winter periods, as well as watching some of the UKs fastest road legal cars battle it out around the track.

  8. One of our best attended events on the calendar, the Scottish Motor Show is held at Knockhill on the Saturday/Sunday 21st/22nd May 2011. The SIDC will have a club stand at this event, but be advised that places go very quickly!
  9. The ever popular Time Attack and European Drifting Championship returns to Knockhill on Sunday 15th May 2011. SIDC will have our marquee and a big stand at this event.
  10. The first SIDC track day of 2011 will be held at Knockhill Racing circuit on Saturday 19th March from 9am to 1pm. It will be an open pit lane 4 hour session, and unlimited free instruction from a resident Knockhill instructor is included in the price.   11. Aberdeen Monthly meet at Zara (Hen Blackie pub) just down from the BP Offices in Dyce. Go into the Travel Lodge Car Park, look for the other Scoobies and then head off into the pub where you will find everyone.
  12. We have Knockhill circuit booked on Saturday 15th September from 9am to 1pm for an open pit lane session. The cost is only £90 for SIDC members, £98 for non-members and includes unlimited free instruction from the resident instructor, and free use of the wheel and tyre van to swap wheels, check pressures etc. You can also hire slicks, buy new road tyres at excellent fully fitted prices.
