  1. Gus, I don't own the garage in Armadale - Top Gear Cars, but I know the owner Carlo very well. Carlo is a bit of a Lambo nut, and I've bought a few cars from him and sourced by him. His ex F1 mechanic has an Impreza turbo and has done some of the servicing on my 22b. BTW - Top Gear Cars no longer operate from Armadale. They have moved to the owner's house at Stoneyburn, Bents. Alan F.
  2. The Integrale was a very pretty car and the last ones were quite well built. Didn't quite go as well as it looked and the left hand drive was always a pain in the a**, particularly for my passengers who didn't like sitting in the middle of the road! Alan F.
  3. Two of my favourites : Alan F.

  5. Raceland? Yes, that was me with my son for his birthday party. No adults allowed on the circuit sadly. Fergus is one of the very few people that knows how to wash and clean a car properly. Is he still there on Sundays? Alan F.
  6. Nobels charged me £203 including VAT for the annual(?) / 7.5k mile service. This included £65 for recharging the air conditioning. Not too bad. Was able to accompany the mechanic on the test drive which I was particularly happy about given that four new tyres were fitted yesterday and have still to be run in. He recommends not fitting an induction kit and retaining the front catalyst if you want to avoid an engine rebuild. Any other tips on avoiding an engine rebuild most welcome!
  7. Graham Goode Racing recommend Millers 10w50. Alan F.
  8. For those that missed them....... Car at Nobles today for a service. I've read good reports about them on this forum. Alan F.
  9. It's number 280 from memory (usually poor). Had only done 4k miles when I bought it a year ago .........13k now Trade in for a green Scooby? Might consider it provided it has a matching green exhaust! LOL. Alan F.
  10. Yip, just need the blue smoke now! Touches wood quickly! Alan F.
  11. More than enough noise from this one. TSL Motorsport Ti-Phoon. Nice colour too! Alan F.
  12. Driving the Punto reminds me of how good the 22b is, apart from the quality of the interior plastics, which even a Punto betters! The Punto also has an advantage in that I can park it anywhere in Edinburgh and find it in the same place and condition when I return. The downside is when you pull out to overtake and then remember that you've left the Subaru at home! Corsa TDi swop? I had a Nova 1.3 Sport with twin 40's and a wild cam many years ago but depite that I'm still not tempted!! Unfortunately I have a good memory. Alan F
  13. I'm from Dolphinton near West Linton. Trying not to use the 22b for the daily commute, but it's hard when the other option is a Fiat Punto! Alan F.
  14. Car has a couple of strange marks on the bonnet!
  15. The car had 285bhp and 303ft/lb when I bought it. Now has a TSL Motorsport ti-phoon back box and a de-cat centre pipe, which probably doesn't add much to the power output but saves me buying a decent hi-fi for the car! Alan F.
  16. Photos were taken by previous owner who only used it when it was a dry day. If he lived in Scotland he'd never have used it! Alan F
  17. This the one? Alan F
