  1. No i didn't get the ECU back, cant imagine it would be of much use to me
  2. Thanks for your opinions guys, guess i'll stick it in the freeads or on ebay and see what i can get Or if there's anyone here looking for standard MY 03 WRX exhaust let me know
  3. As title and i'm very pleased but now i have the old exhaust bits lying around the house, don't know what to do with them? Is it worth anything if i were to put it up for sale, or should i keep incase i ever want to put back on the car? Ideas from the more experienced welcome... Nic
  4. As title, Mines an 03 WRX, just coming up for 3500 miles, not modded at all yet, but very tempted to get PPP, just need to get some more money for the extra insurance
  5. Seems to be back online now, but as a newbie i like it better here ps. i understood everthing dooahhdoo said
  6. Thanks Rob, All i can say is, gulp, maybe one day my insurance will be that cheap. I do have a few things against me compared with yourself, i'm currently 27 (20 days to my b'day ) and although i have a clean driving license i had an accident which was entirely my fault back in March 2000 and consequently i only have 2 (and a bit) years no claims bonus. I got my main premium down to £996 with elephant, which i was quite pleased with, LV wanted more for me. But i was shocked when they turned round and said they wanted another 524 if i bought the PPP, i guess i'll wait until my next renewl (and hopeful another years NCB) and shop around for companies that dont mind the PPP as much. Thanks, Nic
  7. Thanks toonman, Do you know if LV go back 3 or 5 years when they ask about accidents? I found when i was getting quotes all those that went back 5 years didn't come out in my favor if you know what i mean at least that wasn't in my the scooby. Thanks, Nic
  8. Sorry CustomScoobyIOM, maybe i didn't make myself clear, it's going to cost £524 extra on top of what i already pay, which is just below the 1000 mark, this will make my policy nearly 1500. cant afford that
  9. Is anyone here insured with Elephant and have the PPP fitted to an 03 WRX?? I just went onto there website and done all the modify you policy stuff and clicked on modifications and there's a big bunch of tick boxes for various mods. I ticked: Engine Chip 11-25% increase ( 1 - 225/265 = 15% - have i done the math right?) Exhaust/manifold These are the only two boxes i checked and they came back and said it was going to cost £524, i'm not paying that much extra for the PPP I know everyone reccomends LV etc... but they wernt competetive for me when i got my WRX 3 months ago, so i was just wondering if anyone else has PPP with elephant and what there experiences are? If i phoned them would they know what the PPP is and come up with a different value, or would they simply tick the same boxes on there computer and get the the same figure? Thanks in advance, Nic
  10. Same as Garth, 78.9, just gone up at the begining of this week from 77.9
  11. I've just been having some fun at the number plate website search thingy, but i just found out that you can actually get the plate (the one i sort of chose, just need to convince the wife) cheaper straight from DVLA.
  12. I'll post just to get my newbie count up if you want
  13. Has anyone got any idea how much your insurance goes up for getting a PPP fitted. I see people here are saying that LV dont charge any extra, is this really the case? Caus they weren't the cheapest quote for me when i just got my WRX. I am currently insurred with elephant (part of admiral) and everyones comments on the PPP are making think this would be a good buy, but i am reluctant to spend anymore on insurance it's already a tad over 1000. I'm 27 with only 2 years NCD. thanks in advance, Nic
