Been meaning to ask this for ages but kept forgetting. Ive seen a few classic UK turbos around the R reg mark with the facelift headlamps and grill but the older shape bumper. What does this mean? Some of these (but not all) also come with a massive black strip down the side of the doors which i have not seen on any other UK or Jap cars facelift or old!

mmm, rx7, ive sort of been down that route looking for one, ive seen some shoddy examples but what do i expect for less than 6k, might be a possibility actually. I want to go down the coupe or saloon route not a hatchback again, does anyone have any info, websites etc on a 3000gto, ive googled like mad and cant seem to find anything.

You have a good point which is why an Audi A4 springs to mind also, as i can get the insurance for only a little more, thing is i think i could get something a little more mental and still get the impreza at a later date, getting something equal to the Bravo would be no point really as i may as well put up with that as i have done for 4 years in the condition its in. An impreza could still be in with a shout but it would probably be better to wait and just cross the insurance over to a new company so thats why i was thinking something different but still mad for now.

Hi all, been wanting an impreza for a while but 2 things are holding me back a little and i could do with some sort of non scooby advice. 1. My insurance company will insure me on anything except an impreza and they are the cheapest for any car i want (its adrian flux by the way), because of a large number of as$holes (not implying anyone on here ) theyve stopped insuring imprezas so i have no choice but to move on to another company. If i do though i start my insurance fresh as of the date i insure without taknig the 5 months no claims i have so far and this year i would be able to protect my no claims which because im on such a tight budget its very important to time all this right. Hence why i got my insurance for my current car (a bravo) just after my birthday, so i could take advantage of another years no claims and an age increase every year, this has helped me get as far as i have so i need to do the same with an impreza otherwise its going to be really tough instead of just tough. 2. I am renting a house soon and need to buy lots of bits for it plus i will be saving a lot less money each month which is going to kill what i saved in the bank for an impreza but its a necessary evil and must be done. Now taking this into account if i dont get an impreza until november (when this years insurance runs out) so i can collect another years no claims, be in the position to protect them aswell, then i will also have more time to save for the "right" one plus they may come down a little more anyway. However my current car is a total shed due to numerous paint vandal attacks on it a few years back which i could never afford to get fixed and it tears me up inside driving it and i have always been into fast cars since i was a kid and have wanted something damn quick from about 19 years old so i think ive waited long enough considering. If i get some sort of mad jap motor until november (like a £4000 mitsubishi GTO for example) this will not cut into my cash to bugger up getting the house up and running, i can also keep with my current insurer and just change the policy then i should have a half decent car at the end of it all to sell plus some money saved up to put it to an impreza. So what mad jap motor should i consider and whats the story with it (bhp, 0-60, websites with info on them etc), i was thinking gto cause its big and ugly and offensive nice for scaring people, but should be quick despite it being a majorly heavy car with a HUGE lump, but i can find any info on them, but im also open to other suggestions. Sorry about the long winded post but i wanted to explain 90% of the story rather than just post "what car should i get thats not an impreza" on an impreza forum, as that would seem rather dumb!

Aye, ive seen them a few times now, fired up at the donny show mainly but ive only seen it once before this on the track going for a run and i have to say its an awesome sight (and sound )

What a day, it was the Easter Thunderball event at Santa Pod with all the top fuel and pro fuel dragsters, funny cars, jet cars, jet quad, jet beetle!! Bikes, monster trucks and even aerobatic displays in a stunt plane. Ive just spent over 8 hours there and the whole day was absolutely brilliant, so god damn loud as we got seats on the grandstand. Bloody amazing stuff!! Did anyone else go??

I live on poplars ave but im no good with road names so alder close could be round the corner for all i know, however i only know of 4 speed cameras in warrington and none of them are in orford, where bouts exactly you on about?

Orford for now mate but may be moving near birchwood. Not got a scoob just yet, only a Bravo but im waiting and waiting till the right one comes along. Cheers for the offer though! Id love to come to a meet but i fear embarrasing myself in my battered Bravo (and i do mean battered, its been vandalised to smeg 4 times ) Definately when i have a scoob.

You could also try the M54 from shrewsbury to the M6, thats a nice straight road thats usually quite, not much for cornering fun but could be a triple digit license loosing fun road.

Hi, im from Warrington and visit the Village hotel gym every now and then, i keep seeing a silver n reg scoob parked in there sometimes, is this you. Ive heard it pull away once or twice and it sounds lovley (as do they all )

Warrington, its in cheshire. Hes been working as a mac operator for an advertising and design agency for about 8 years now but he wants to do something on the side so hes been gathering stuff that he needs, like contacts and info and so on, so he might be worth a shout, maybe he can help maybe not, but i know he was talking about being able to do almost anything and any sizes etc either way ill speak to him soon and then pm you if i can remember, if not then remind me i have a mind like a sieve!

System R, is that that place on winwick road near PM auto panels by any chance cause i think theyve been talking of getting a rolling road for years and never done it. If not then where is it, did it use to be Racespec or is that another company?
