Hi, what/who do you recommend for engine cleaning. I was thinking about getting a detailing company to clean my engine but don't want any harsh chemicals or power washers. May yet give it a crack myself, but in the past i've not been too successful with my engine (normally looks dirtier lol). Thanks.

Okay i give up.... today the council sent the grass cutters around my way, and err lets just say the car was green when i came out. Woulden't have minded if all the cars were like it, but no other car had even 1 blade of grass over them. Mine was on the bonnet,roof, bumpers, boot, spoiler, doors. and my poor sidekirts took a hammering . I was absolutly fuming when i saw the state of my car, I swear someone doesen't like my car being clean. I diden't dare wash it today as the neighbours would have thought I was insane. But i can see the sponge coming out tomorrow .

Okay after ANOTHER 3 hours (like i woulden't have cleaned it today anyway lol), Car is now back to being shiney and clean .

Actully i did, errr i just diden't think anyone else was a sad as me to see that episode LOL . the one where they use the dummy to #### onto a railway track. Okay i'm going to save myself now, and say they may have leaned against part of the bodywork .

Last night getting seriously worried when my engine starting smelling very bad. Thought i blown it up, anyway checked it this morning... and it seems that someone kindly decided i should spend some more time cleaning... as someone pi$$ed up the front of my car, right into the radiator, and on the front splitter . Serisouly pi$$ed me off (pardon the pun lol), as I spent 6 hours with a car toothbrush (mequairs thingy) friday detailing it, got it absolutly spotless and all. Guess what i will be doing tomorrow.

Just checked petrolprices.com and shell @ coxheath is selling v-power for 99.9p per litre, feel gutted now LOL

Happy days, just filled up and v-power was 1p cheaper. Now 100.9, i know it's only 1p but made a hell of a difference to what i usually get for the money.

I got the Blitz one, nice and quiet at low rpm but loud high up. Get lots of pops and bangs with this one too. Plus you get 2 different trumpets so you can change the sound. There supposed to sound similar to that of a group A rally car, but i dunno about that.

I have a HKS system fully decatted sounds nice but is v.loud, after hearing Markie's Blitz system though i vote Blitz (very deep).

Just been looking on HT Auto's website, and they do a P1 front splitter for the early shape cars. Now i have a dilemma, Jun style or P1 style??

Can i ask you oppinions on this please. What do you think it's quality is like, looks good in the pics. and is much cheaper than the Official JUN splitters. Would rather pay the extra £200 for the official one than have one that looks like it's falling off (although thats kinda what mine looks like atm ). Edit: would help if i added the link ebay

Am i feeling sorry for you right now, you car looked absolutly spotless, and stunning at the hastings run. Think i need to treat my car to a few pressies now to make up for it, But first i need to source a Jun front splitter (not keen on the ebay replica's, heard bad things about the fitment of them).

Tonight i hit my front splitter on a kirb and put 2 HUGE cracks in it. Poor Scooby.

I used to run it on octane boosters but stopped after wasen't noticing any difference (plus money was abit tight). I do run on V-power only and Optimax before v-power so petrol is fairly good, as you say though in Japan they run on 101RON. Now running "NOS Racing octane booster" (the one UPTO 6 extra points) so potentially running 105RON.
