<< Is this the White MK2 Astra which taught me a lesson on the A43 to Silverstone yesterday? !!!! It was in convoy with other Vauxhalls about 08:00. We had a mini convoy of 2 x blue bugeyes and 1 x Evo 4, passing the Vauxhall boys, but this Astra decided to boot it on the inside lane and to be fair he was easily out-pulling me until he run out of room with the cars in front. Either way, Vauxhall or Subaru, that sort of power is impressive >> lol no but i do know the car you are on about i think it was a mk2 astra but not a gte it would ahve been an sxi easy to tell the dirrefence thou he have grey bumper tops anyhow i think his best 1/4 to date is a round a low 13 i have alot less weight than that one and about 80-100bhp more

i was shocked for the first time in my life when i filled the astra iot was 101.9 a lt wtf is going on do they really need to make this increase

there was a thread put up about my astra on here i would just like to show you all where the money was spent i re-built the car from a bare shell i hope some of you appreciate the time and efort that went into this ENGINE: 2lt 16v cav turbo engine ,evo5 chip set (1.5bar ver boost 1.2 hold) fmic with 2.5'' pipingand 100bhp of progressive nitrous z20let steel head gasket ,3.5kg flywheel, ap racing twin plate clutch (this is a temp engine till the new one is built i can if people want put a spec up if this as i have most the bits already) gearbox: f28, Ge quick shift suspension: Spax springs 60mm lower, bilstein front shocks spax rear, alloy top mounts, power flex bushes all round, power steering removed and a 2.2 turn quick rack fitted brakes: Vectra gsi v6 brakes converted to 5 stud, Goodrich braided hoses, copper brake line run thought the car body: never been on the road motor sport preped shell(well 2000 miles now )(some bits look to group a but we will have a better investigation soon) stitch welded front to rear, lightened merit tail gate no spoiler or strip, lightened gte bumpers front and rear big mouth front, no side skirts, Perspex windows, no side repeaters,dtm wing mirrors, lightened bonnet, no sunroof Interior: Fully striped including dash, heater matrix, inside of doors and everything that was not needed inside, corbeau revolution seats, Luke 4 point harnesses, car completely rewired by myself, evo dash, 6 point roll cage bolt in but welded in places, custom alloy dash fuel system: motorsport jaz fuel cell, external swirl pot, 2 fuel pumps one facet red top supplys swirlpot and one 044 motorsport pump for the engine wheels & tyres: Vectra super touring wheels 195/45/16 with toyo proxies for the road 225/50/15 bf goodridge drag radials for 1/4 mile (road legal ) ice: Um no!! performance: 1/4mile 12.6@121mph top speed standing start inside 1.25 miles 153 mph all time are proven couple of build pics this was the first engine it received but due to a oil pipe splitting it expired and i chose not to put another n/a engine and went for a turbo as i was not 100% happy with the power and that engine in how it looks now and with new engine these photos are little dated as it now has the bumper inserts and standard mirrors back on now has the second seat and the new engine will be getting some better pics tomorrow so will post them up soon hope you all enjoy

<< m8y if he`s nossed it and its connected on the road watch his face when the rozzers spot him its an instant no no to have it hooked up on the road id just ask him for his 0 - 60 or qarter ,ile time whilst the rozzers are giving him a ticket LOL >> such missunderstanding about nitrous its 100%legal to be carryed on the roads as long as it is installed so exactly the oposite to what you think if its not conected you need a licence to carry gas bottles but as long as installed it does not matter as long as your insurance company know you have it

i cannot belive how many times i have to write this i do not think my car is the fastest on the road but i do know is its very fast car i ask'd where all the cars in plymouth that said they could beat me were as none have yet i dont consider myself an idiot for spending what is 18k on an astra gte its my hobby i built the car from a bare shell using all new parts over the course of 2 years re-built the engine( that one is not in the car anyymore was tb'd nows turbo'd beacuse an oil cooler pipe split) gearbox re-wired the car etc etc and imo thats a big achievment even if you guys dont think so , to that extent i am now very proud of what the car has achievd first ever vauxhall to compete at totb fastest ever recorded 1/4 mile of a road legal astra in the country (would you be proud if you had the fastest scooby) and above all else a very fast road car that i am willing to prove and that i can say the achievments are mine and a friend chips no company imput at all !!! 0-30 any scooby will kill me but as some people will realise to beat this astra on the road is going to take alot of power because once this gets traction its just plain fast yes it is just a shell but thats what i like about it if i wanted to it would have an interia and imo it would not make it that much slower asking owen to leave because he said no wonder people say you arrogant when popl have been calling me an idiot and stupid please you dont even know me i bet half the people cannot even change there clutch let alown re-build a car from scratch

<< I dont normally do this but IV had enuf. A guy in my local club has a quick astra but is behaving like a child, and abuseing everybody ealse in plymouth, esp sccobs. I have ignored it so far but.... Does anybody in Plymouth or close to it have a car that has done quicker than a 12.5 quatermile with a terminal of 121mph? I no this is childish n im only goning to post once! if i hav proper amo! I no that a lot of people like to keep thier figures tothemselfs and not bost, but jus this once to help me out? No names shall be mentioned, no details, jus that there is a quicker scoob then his astra. >> if you open your eyes and actualy read the post on csw it says several times i know my astra is not the fastest car on the road i think you need to grow up goping to other sites to find cars that are fastest when i was building the car everyone on csw said it would not be as fast as i thought that post was ment to be to them people
