<< Gordon - where are you based? >> I'm based in Ayrshire but probably spend most my time working in Glasgow Why do you ask? You really want to wrap my downpipe for me? Cheers Gordon Shek

You mean a "Link To The Website" thing like this?

Hi Steve << I was the mad Green Rover driver tooting and waving at you at the Kilmarnock camera on the A77 last week >> You damn right you're mad! You looked as if you've just saw Jordan naked or something with that smile of yours! I know you get excited when you see someone you know but come on! It's only me! I drove down that road that night thinking "who was that guy? Do I know anybody with an OLD ROVER?" It only dawned on me when I got home and went onto SIDC and discovered that you've sold your Sub . WUZ What stuff do you use? You've done 9 downpipes? Fancy making it 10? Carl That must be the tidiest garage I've seen in my life! It's so organised, like everything is all round you so it's easier to find! How the hell do you fit your car in it? Been following up your website and your car seems to be coming on quite a bit. Just out of curiousity, why did you paint the exhaust after the wrap? I take it that the stuff your using is high temperature paint? Do you think you can go OTT by painting the exhaust with temperature paint, wrap it using 10m of exhaust wrap and then paint it again with high temperature paint just for good measure?

Guys I'm going to wrap my downpipe with exhaust wrap but I have 3 questions. 1. What's the best Exhaust Wrap to use? 2. Where can I get this stuff at a decent price? 3. How much of the stuff do I need? It's a Stainless Steel twin dump downpipe btw. Thanks Gordon Shek

It has everything to do with me!

It's the new "Classic Light Weight Version Type R". Only comes in white and it's got special Yokohama branded tyres which match the car. I wonder how he/she polishes it? Anyway, very cool, I wonder how much the insurance costs?

Thanks for the advice guys, your opinions are greatly appreciated. I thought about Trading Standards and Citizens Advice but they're closed Saturdays aren't they? Suppose I can wait till Monday. Putting them on SpeedDial will remind me! I don't really want to slate this guy yet as he might be underpressure as he's just opened his place and it's relatively new. That's why I'd thought to give him a chance first before doing anything. His place is based in Paisley so I think a lot of you will know by now who I'm talking about. I thought about going up to his place today and demand to take the wheels back, no matter what condition they are in and take them to somewhere I can really trust. And that's why I've posted this thread up. Can I just turn up and demand my own alloys back? And get away with my deposit back? It sounds a strange question but I'm no lawyer and I don't really know my rights. I'd rather get my facts right first before going up there. Cheers Gordon Shek

Folks I need legal advice regarding my alloys wheels. I took them to an "Alloy Wheel Specialist" to get them refurbished/polished/diamond cut as they were a bit shabby and needed a refurb. The guy I spoke to said, "No problem, it'll take 3 days." I was actually quite impressed with that so I left my alloys with him. So far, so good. It then started to turn bad when w he wanted £200 up front before taking the alloys in. I argued that I can't pay someone for something they haven't done yet so it came to a compromise that i gave him £100 and then another £100 when it's completed. So that was agreed and I got a receipt for my £100 and the alloys. That was about 1 month ago now and I still haven't got my alloys back. He kept saying that he's got problems getting them to "shine" and turn out the way I wanted them to. He then started saying that it'll be "next a couple of days". That's about 3 or 4 "couple of days" I've heard from him. He even said he'll phone me backwhich he never has. I've had enough and want my alloys back, no matter what condition they are in. How do I go about it? What legal rights do I have? What about the initial £100? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Goron Shek

help: anyone know or heard about this garage?
Gordon Shek replied to duke's topic in Scottish Scoobies
HI Heard of them, but I think they've just stop trading lately. If they are still dealing then all I've got to say is, BE CAREFUL! But then again, you need to say that anytime you go to a garage to look at a car Gordon Shek -

Dougster I thought you were a nice guy? I can't get out as I'm very ill and can't leave the house. So I'm bored and so I thought I'd do something to pass time. Maybe it's not the best but it is my first attempt. Listen to you, River City? I think you should get yourself a life. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you too. Gordon Shek

Folks I'm looking to buy my old Starion Turbo back as I've missed it! I wish I never got rid of it now. It is a White F Reg, ends with MGD and was last seen in central belt of Scotland. It's the 2.6 version and is a very, very, very clean example. I'm hoping it's someone on here or if someone can point me in the right direction to contact with the current owner. Please help! CHEERS MATE FOR LETTING ME INTO THE QUEUE! A Blue Blob eyed J plate (private plated) Impreza let me in the queue to leave the concert as it was chaos and it was just getting out of hand. I had waited in the car park for over half and hour in the same spot and then I just lost the plot! So when I did get out of the car park, I passed all these cars only to discover I'm in the wrong lane to get out. The guy in the blue scoob let me in and I do owe him a huge thanks. BTW, the Anastacia Concert was the best! Superb show and will be going to her next gig in March/May (I think?) Cheers Gordon Shek

McRAE TO DRIVE WRC SUBARU IN DEC!!!!!!!!!!!!
Gordon Shek replied to derek_robertson's topic in Scottish Scoobies
If Colin McRae hadn't trashed so many Scoobs, he'd still be in the Subaru Rally Team! They just couldn't afford to keep replacing his cars just for him to trash it! It had nothing to do with his wage demands! I wonder if Insurance companies avoid him like a bad smell? -
Dougster You'll need to get those wee pigs ears and stick them on your helmet! That way, I'll know it's the "Flying Pig" Dougster! when I'm out and about.
