Hi, Just thought i'd share my experience today when cleaning my car. You may already know this, please disregard if you do, i'm not trying to teach a granny to suck eggs!:- Whilst cleaning my car Subaru WRX STI 52 Reg I found a bad dirt trap on the subaru that will lead to premature corrosion due to damp muddy conditons. The dirt trap is located under the rear wheel arches on both sides (rear only) and is on top of the lip that forms the edge of the arch close to the wheel. A plastic edge is attached to the edge of the wheel arch. Please see Photo. Hope it helps keep your car rust free. Its conditions like these that will cause the wheel arch lip to rot away. The Edge is quire deep if you put your hand under neath the edge of your arch. I found extremley large amounts of Soil trapped under there which is not reachable by a jet wash due to the wheel. Unless this is pointed out you will miss it. I am keen with car care and always clean under the wheel arches. I have washed my car several times since owning it and missed this every time. Hi all, Just a quick email to congratulate this club! I used to own an Escort RS 2000 and being a dedicated fan of the RS series at the time, I joined the RS owners club. The club itself was very good however (may have changed since!) once I had paid the initial membership payment a few stickers arrived and that was it! No magazine or extras. A car club at the time wasn't as good a deal as it seems to be now. This is where I congratulate this club, being a new member for almost 2 full weeks I have joined the forum, been accepted with CADS, received a fantastic welcome pack that included a who's who welcome letter, unique tax disk holder, membership card, club stickers, club rules hand book, a well published magazine with well written articles and last but not least made use of the many, many discounts that apply, now I am a member. Well I really do feel that I have joined a profesional, dedicated club that sits beside many others that I am sure cannot offer as good a deal. Well done!! Cheers Lee
