All sorted, well nearly.... the lights never got fitted (again!!!![]). Brakes are now ok despite a few hitches, and the exhaust is LUVVERLY!!! Going to have a stab at the lights myself over easter....

Guys, I PM'd BlueBoy at the end of March to say I couldn't make it. I'm studying for a degree part time, and I have to go to a compulsory study day then. Consequently the 9:30 slot is free also. I have updated the thread in the Northern Section to reflect this. I will be making a suitable donation to RB charity instead. Just to clarify - I don't intend my post to be seen as a criticism of CAS - far from it at the moment. Steve has been very helpful so far, and as the problem with my brakes only reappeared this afternoon (and CAS are closed on Sat afternoons), I've had no chance to discuss it with them. I am confident that the problems will be sorted without issue, but I just wish my brakes didn't squeak so that I could go and enjoy the new sound of my motor.[].

The burble has been set free, and is now a BURBLE.[]. Had my H&S system wrapped and fitted at CAS yesterday while the car was in to have the back brakes sorted and my PIAA lights fitted. Exhaust is lovely, but the brakes and lights are not. The brakes (new discs and pads fitted) were fine when I left CAS, but I've just been to Warrington to a tutorial and they squeaked and squealed on the way home worse than they did before they were looked at - they're louder than my new exhaust []. The lights just never got fitted []. Going back to CAS on Monday to have the brakes looked at again and hopefully get the lights fitted......

Most of the Tescos I've been in recently have them. The machines charge 7.5% IIRC.

*Logical Mode On* Surely the cars were designed for every day usage, and therefore the OE filter should also be so designed? *Logical Mode Off* I appreciate this may not be the case for highly modded cars [].

Both Warby and Bob seem to be top blokes. (TBH, so did everyone else that I met back in March). Would be nice to be able to meet both of you at CADS meets again.

Well... My brakes have been fine since.... until today. Squeaked and sqealed the last mile of my journey to work []. Called in at CAS Motorsport on my way home from work for advice. Verdict - Steve's a very helpful fella. I'm the not-so-proud owner of 1 sticking caliper and 1 knackered disc. Car is booked in on Friday for some caliper attention and new rear discs and pads (I already knew the pads were on their last legs). While it's there, he's going to heatwrap my new downpipe and fit the exhaust, and fit my PIAA driving lights too!!!! The 'Burble' will finally be released, and night will be turned into day.... Can't wait for the weekend now!!!!! Saw one fine looking FMIC ready to be fitted to a certain silver classic that was parked outside []. Any more news on your sick motor Andy? Mentioned you too Andy J!!! Cheers guys.

Yeah mate, well aware but cheers for the 'heads up'... [] I got to a similar stage with a previous band, and well.... let's just say I'm still working for a living! My current band all work at the mo, and have mortgages etc, so we're not going to jump in blind. We'll be taking legal advice before we sign anything...... Even though I've been here before, and even if nothing comes of it, i'm still excited at the mo.[]
