Had my car over an inspection pit last night to see how much hassle the yearly MOT exhaust change would be after a full decat... looks quite simple (assuming nothing is seized), but still not sure whether to get a sportcat downpipe though. Email / pm me some details though please.[] Would I need a remap after a full decat, or could I run the car ok without a remap (but maybe get a knocklink)? Realise I won't see full benefit from the decat without remapping, but can't afford decat and remap at the mo...

Hardly the most radical of changes, but my standard car is now the proud recipient of a set of 17" Speedlines. [] Picked them up from a guy in Manchester this afternoon. Exhaust next......, then......, then...... I can hear my bank card begging for mercy already!

I have problems when I'm typing posts - don't know if it's related or not. Various bit of the screen get highlighted while I type, and the message bar at the bottom of the screen tells me it's: Searching for links that begin with ". [Press F3 to jump to the next match][Press to search all text]. It's probably something I've done, but it's bugging me cos I'm not great with computers......[:$]

Well, having been lurking around these forums for a while now, thought it was about time I came out of the woodwork and introduced myself - so Hi All!!!! I've had my scooby (a standard silver MY99UK turbo) for just over a13 months now, and having resisted the temptation to blow a load of cash on it, I am finally beaten and a set of 17" speedlines are being picked up next weekend, and sportcat downpipe (probably, unless I reckon that changing a decat downpipe for the MOT every year is not goin to be a PITA.....), decat centre and noisy [] backbox will be following closely behind. I've already met Little H (top fella!) as he lives not far from me and was very helpful with my exhaust qustions, and look forward to meeting some more of you soon! Drive Safe! Dave.
