Less than a month to go........anyone else coming along?

Police van parked in the bus stand on the A2 at the foot of Gravel Hill coast-bound about 12:30 today - camera pointing out the back - not sure if was checking tax discs or picking on cars accelerating away from the speed camera 200 yards back up the A2

Parked up next to ROAR in Sainsburys Pepper Hill this morning so I suppose thats as near as you can get to being spotted

Whooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa[] Arrived home, 10 minutes before I even left Swindon lol Great few hours with Bob Rawle although I have to confess that most, if not all, of the technical stuff was way over my head [:$] That aside the car is going soooooooooooo much better. He changed the maf sensor (he reckons it was still the the original part 80k miles down the line) before we left his place and we gave the car a run "faster, faster, faster....." up the main road. Apparently there was no boost so he sorted out the sti restrictor ? at the first turning point - I think he said someone had drilled it out. Back up and down the road "faster,faster,faster....." and eventually after 3 runs it was done. He's going to run off the figures and charts for me and email them over though they'll mean nothing to me lol Perhaps someone can explain them for me? He reckons the cars now running at around 287 bhp which is way over what I'd anticipated - the thing I've noticed the most is just how much more response the car is and how much quicker it accelerates away, especially at speed. Been on and off at the M25 / A2 junction today and not sure that those cameras are live - no evidence of any 'average speed check camera' signs. Imho I think they would find it impossible to charge anyone legally doing 60mph up the slip road and joining the M25 smack bang between the average speed cameras without any prior warning of their existence.

Friend got flashed today at the bottom of Detling Hill by a Police van - said it was just as he was deciding whether to take the M20 or the road into Maidstone where the speed limit changes from 60 to 50. He wasn't happy as he'd one of his cars stolen yesterday , the Police had since phoned him today to say it had been found on its side, written off, but it would still cost him £300 in recovery costs. Seems he's funding Kent Police all by himself today lol

Have you tried Elite Tyres in Dagenham / Rainham.........you get a tunnel run then thrown in for nothing (well ok then a quid!)

Popular place Blackheath Hill.......flashed by silver classic, gold wheels about 5:45 this morning on way to work.

Might be worth a look if the weathers nice - not a bad run down the M20 especially as the cars being remapped on Saturday. Any interest?

Sorted - with the advice of Sigma Sam. Ordered keypad in through Lifestyles in T/Wells and went down to pick it up today. Really good service from Tim (the Parts Manager) who found time to have someone fit it for me - their hourly rate though is very very SCAREY!! Apart from that, would recommend them and had no trouble claiming SIDC discount of 12.5%. Wouldn't normally have had a main dealer do the work for this reason alone but hey as the car was there and the job needed doing......................

Believe the NatWest are going to be sponsoring this months meet at the Wharf lol
