  1. Really gutted for you mate - waiting to have mine asessed - minor damage really but they are undervaluing the car. Gunther might be selling his MY00 PPP.
  2. Might well do that when I,ve got some spare cash although mine is working fine again now. Cheers, Matt.
  3. Mine is doing that too - sprayed it with WD40 from the top and it still stick a bit - is it best to take it off and do it. I take it this going to be a regular thing - I have only had it fitted a couple of months. Still I suppose it is worse in the winter months with the weather etc.
  4. Baz, Cheers for that mate - I will give him a ring - I'm sure once he has seen the damage and knows what I would like to do he will be able to do it a lot cheaper than £4000 as I can get most of the parts of the shelf for around £700 - then it is just labour & paint really. Cheers, Woody
  5. Muddymotox, Decals were yellow mate. The car I saw was heading from St Mary's Cray to Chislehurst. Will keep my eye out for you tho mate. Cheers, Woody.[]
  6. Cheers, Al - I have dropped him an email. Is that your WRX on their website? Does he rush jobs or take his time - do you have to wait ages to get it booked in? Cheers, Matt.
  7. Thanks Pinky-lad
  8. Mate - sorry to hear about the accident - glad to see no one was hurt - that's the main thing. I'm in the same boat although my damage is a bit lighter than yours and on the back end! Approved body shop quoted over £4000 to do the work and the insurance co said no as they said my car was only worth £2500. Told them to 5od off as I only paid £6495 for it a year ago. I am now getting a more realistic quote and going for a cash in leu settlement from the guy who drove into the back of me, so hopefully won't have to pay my excess and I get to choose who does the work. Time to mod it up a bit me thinks!! If your insurance company new about the mods you had done then surely it's like for like - did you say that to the body shop when you took it in for a quote? Hope to see you back on the road soon. Cheers, Woody.
  9. Thanks guys, will give them both a ring although HTautos is a little too far for me really. I saw one of the ABW cars on the RB memorial relay. Cheers, Woody
  10. Saw 3 within minutes of each other on my way home tonight. Classic SIlver Wagon in Tudor Way, Petts Wood Blue Classic in full rally decals headin up Chislehurst Road, Orpington from the roundabout at the top of Poverest Road and a black classic heading the other way from the roundabout. It all happened so fast I didn't have time to wave. In fact I have seen loads since I moved up here. Cheers, Woody
  11. Mines a 96 WRX import and each indicator (they are all in the bumpers as far as I know) has one screw holding it in place. I have changed mine to crystal lenses - took 5 minutes except for a bit of soldering as the bulb carriers were different on the crystal ones I bought. You can see the screw from the front it is also one of the 4 fog light retaining screws IIRC. simply undo the top- left (drivers-side) or top-right (pass-side) of the folg light and then pull the lenses out towards the side of the car ahd they should come out. Hope that helps - if not let me know and I can drop you some pictures. Cheers, Woody.
  12. Hi all, I mentioned last week that my car was rear ended - anway the approved garage has put in a quote of over £4000 for the repairs which includes a £2065 STI v6 spoiler - direct from Subaru!!!! The only other things it needs is a rear panel and bumper plus paint etc. The thing is that help hire (company that arranges repair and claims money from 3rd party afterwards) are saying that it is beyond economical repair cos it's only worth £2500 - thats b0ll0ck5 cos I paid £6495 for it just over a year ago. I need to get another quote but I also want to do some upgrades at the same time ie sti lights - facelift rear bumper - remove ugly stick on fog light. So - does anybody know a good bodyshop that specialises in Scoobies near me who i could take it to to get a new estimate. Thanks people. Cheers, Matt
  13. Thanks for the welcome and kind words re my little smack up people. Going out to get quotes tomorrow - has anybody had any dealings with Ruxley Repair Centre? Meant to be a bit of a Subaru guy. Cheers, Woody
  14. Hi all, I have been offline for a while now due to a move from Sussex to Kent. Had problems since October trying to get moved in. Finally moved in to our new house in Orpington a couple of weeks ago and everything was great until some old boy (bless him - my dad's old too!) slipped off the clutch (in traffic) and hit the guy in front of him who then hit me. Didn't look or feel to bad to start with but I still had the raging @rse when I got out to inpect the damage. It has creased the back valance and possibly the floor, the boot is a little bent and the bumper is out of shape - amazing seeing as it never broke a single lense on my car. Anyway - I'm now completely gutted - this was my pride and joy and now I cannot even bring myself to drive it - It doesn't look as nice as it did. I'm worried that the insurance company are going to think it's beyond economical repair and write it off - but I don't want it repaired by someone that I cannot choose either as I had a BMW a few years ago which Harwoods in Carshalton bu55ered right up and it had to be redone twice before I coud have it done at garage of my choice - and when it was eventually done I didn't want it anymore as it was not the same car. I know that sounds stupid. Sorry for babbling on guys - I'm just a little frustrated. Anyway - I have now moved to Kent so just wanted to say Hi to all at Kent Scoobies and to say if I get my car repaired then I would like to come along to a meet at some point. Cheers, Woody ( I shall go back to my crying now!!!!!)[:'(]
  15. Wayne, Are you talking about Fox's near Polhill Garden Centre on the old A21. If so I was there a couple of weeks ago to get a price on some bits. I thought it was still there unless it has gone bust very recently. Cheers, Woody.
  16. That would be Sped's Type R with over 400bhp [] MMMMMM I want one of those[]
  17. Looks like you all had some fun!![][] Whose is the "Yellow One"?
  18. Very nice m8 - welcome to the madhouse[]
  19. Dan, Just had a quick look at the pipe, as Wee Jock said it runs to the unit on the drivers side suspension pillar, just behind the airbox. Not sure what that unit is though - Wee Jock thought it might be the pressure regulator but I really dont know. Couldn't see anything obvious but it would make sense that it is the pressure regulator. Some one on here will know for definate although I would of thought SUbaru will be able to tell what pipe you mean from the description. Maybe try another Subaru garage or specialist and then go back to your original dealer to order it once you know what it is. Let us know how you get on m8 Cheers, Matt
  20. Dan, Will have a look at lunchtime and let you know fella. Sorry for not replying earlier but I was away for easter. Cheers, Matt.
  21. I take it Scratch X won't get it out then fella?[:$] Cheers, Matt.
  22. Short of draining the tank or removing the back seat and taking out the sender unit to fish it out, theres probably not a lot you can do mate. IMHO I don't think it will cause any problems. I'm sure someone will have an expert view. Good luck fella. Cheers, Matt.
  23. ROTFPMSL [] Someone in my village drives a celica like that except it's pink.
  24. Looks like the pipe i put a t piece in and connected to my boost gauge. This picture shows the pipe you mean i think. This is not my engine bay BTW mine is far cleaner!![] Hope this helps.
  25. Welcome fella[] Your pics didn't upload though.
