You will have to ask Granby to pin it as I'm not a moderator on here lol
-
i thought you could multi task on both stes
Also we would be perfectly happy for links to events posted on SIDC, after all everyone who looks on all these sites is a Subaru enthusiast at the end of the day and will go where they want.
-
good question, i asked hol (moderator) of ks.co.uk & he said no conflictions
would happen between the two sites, i dont think they would like links on there site
going to sidc kentscoobies, so hopefully he will get this sorted as promised.
No conflicts are going to happen it's just easier to have things on one thread and as I spend more time on the other site at the moment thats why the link is to there.

That sounds pretty cool, how's easy would this be for a complete beginner?
Well I did it myself and I'm a woman lol If you need help just ask
-
???
im interested in that, what do you need to make it?
2 spray jets from scoobyparts, some hose and some wire If you have a UK car, you use the headlight washer button and connect the hose for the jets to the water bottle instead of the headlight washers.
-
top mount or front...??
Why not make your own one.... doesn't take long to do and costs around £10

Ive decided to sell my 88 Suzuki GSX600F with full 2007 Walker Rizla Livery.

Firstly thank you Eureka for having the balls to apologise on an open forum, and in person takes guts to do that
Secondly I would like to state that EVERYONE'S OPINION SHOULD BE RESPECTED, regardless of whether it is in favour or not. People are entitled to have an opinion, and like noses, everyone has one
Well it seems that at the last few meets I have been asked by different people if I would ever want to take up the reins again for KS. To be honest at first I said no as it didn't seem that people really wanted me there, but as the meets have progressed this year I've found myself slipping back into meeting and greeting new members lol, old habits die hard I had several reasons for stepping down in the first place, the main one being I felt I was being pushed out and so I thought I'd jump before I got pushed so to speak. I had also been suffering from ill health, and yes I needed a break from trying to keep the club running - this doesn't mean I stopped caring about what happened within the club though, as quite a few of you seemed to think.
If it is what the members of the club want, then I will step back up, but I must have 100% backup from all of you or it will just be going back to square one again, and I'd rather not go there, and I don’t think anyone else does either
Reading through all the posts so far, I have a few bits to add to some of it
With regards to me driving forward the setting up of a KentScoobies.com website - I have not got a clue how to set up a website, so if members want this to go forward then we will need someone to help us with this, if anyone wants to volunteer their services that would be great, if it’s for free, even better
Some have said the club was at it’s best in the beginning, well I can certainly say we used to have a lot more fun but at the end of the day it’s the members that are present now who need to make the effort to make the club fun again - it wasn’t just me making the effort in the beginning it was the whole of KentScoobies mucking in and having fun, and everyone was enthusiastic at the beginning. We need to bring back that enthusiasm again and start making KS a recognisable club again, not to be laughed at because of our bickering but to be respected by the way we conduct ourselves.
TOP MAN!!! well people have always expected me to be a man when they turn up so it’s rather funny seeing their faces when they meet me :madnoel:
Some of you would rather donate just to KentScoobies, well I’m sure something can be sorted out that benefits us as a club and is not too hard on our pockets in this credit crunch environment we find ourselves in at the moment.
As for me being relieved when I stepped down, Hugh you were right I was at first - relieved to be free of all the backstabbing and whispering going on, but then I started missing what has been a very important part of my life for the last 6 years or so and I realised I couldn’t just turn away from something I worked so hard to create and keep going. That’s why I still turned up to meets because despite everything I missed you lot
As for it being Deans whispering that outed me, he has never had anything to do with it, in fact he has been one of the most supportive members on here to me.
The reason the fundraising idea brought up by Phil and Granby was not met with much enthusiasm was the fact that you had to first pay your membership to SIDC, then add the KentScoobies fee on top of it, and the way people were seeing it was that they were paying all this money just for a logo under their name, you can’t blame them for not wanting to shell out more money just for this when they could be spending the money on their cars instead
Several people have said about the meeting and greeting that hasn’t been happening of late - I noticed this which is why I sort of started doing it again, as I said old habits die hard and I like to make people feel welcome and not be left out.
As Q said when I first started the club it was all my own money going into it, and I wouldn’t even like to begin adding it up but that was what it was all about, I did it because I enjoyed it and at the time I had the money to put into the club myself and so asked for nothing from no one. I’d love to still be able to do that but never mind lol
Hugh, www.kentscoobies.co.uk is Dean’s personal site, and nothing to do with KentScoobies as such, www.kentscoobies.com was the url for the club.
Well I think that’s it for now, I’m sure someone will point out anything I have missed, and sorry in advance to anyone I’ve upset with anything I’ve written here

If Im reading the post correctly he is saying it smokes after it is warmed up when it is idling?
-
i would go with that too
What colour is the smoke? If it's white then it's turbo, I had same thing happen on my first scooby and I needed a new turbo.

It is no secret that I would like Kent Scoobies to have their own website, be fully independent and under the members control.
With regards to what is planned for the future, I have an interest in the domain name www.kentscoobies.com, so will wait for comments / actions from other members, before commenting further. I would however like to play an active part in Kent Scoobies future, and no! that doesn't mean I want to run Kent Scoobies.
I will bring some more forms with me to the next meet, to give others a chance to express their views on the future of Kent Scoobies.
I think you got a plan there Dean Good idea to get as many opinions as possible

It would appear that several members enjoyed the quiz I organised for the Three Mariner's March meet, so I am puting together a Subaru Quiz for this months meet at Nottcutts.
It is only for fun, but I would suggest the competitive members get researching.
Here is some help.
Topics will include The WRC, Subaru history, The new Impreza, FHI, etc.....
I suggest teams of 3 or 4 would make it more interesting, and I will try to sort out a suitable (but cheap) prize for the winners.
Sounds like a good idea Dean best start swotting lol.....
I Am Properly Back - Massive Thanks To Pele And Loony Toon
