HI Guys Yes they are bad, and i also know of another person near to me that has the same problem, Deffo not vandilisem as the car is in the garage 99% of the time, I have brought this up with Mytyres where they were bought from and also Goodyear directly. The problem is that i need to buy a new set of tyre's from a dealer, get them to fill in a complaint form and they get picked up from the dealers and investigated, all of which will take 2 weeks tops( Pritty quick) then if they admit fault the company i bought them from with get the refund and then it's passed onto me, the only problem i find is that i can get a set of new tyre's on line cheaper than from the tyre garages, Goodyear have been pritty good though with the explanation of what happens, you will only get a % cost back for the tyre with what amount of tread is left, for example tyres start with 8mm tread, if i have 4 mm left then i would only get 50% back of the cost of the tyre's THAT THE DEALER PAID not what i paid each. And they might still say its nothing to do with the tyre's. I have also found out that Goodyear Eagle F1 GSD3's are no longer getting made/sold, they are starting to sell the Assimetrials now instead.But Goodyear have a 5 year gaurante on there tyre's Cheers Dougie

Hi Guys Just to ask aswell. Is it the Egale GSD3s that you have on your cars now? I have had a set on our P1 for 2 years now, and must admit i really love them, grip is brill, break away is spot on and the wear on the scoobs is second to none. Well 2 weels ago we fitted new Alcons to the car and when taking the wheels of we noticed that the tread was split across the width of the tyre, so being a bit shocked we also checked the rest of the tyre, and yes you guessed it all 4 tyre have got various degree's of splits across them, the tyres themselfs have only done tops 7000 miles and there's still about 6mm tread depth left on them. To say i am pissed of is the under statment of the year.Having to pay about £500 for new tyre when theres plenty of tread left is annoying. So i ask you to keep an eye your tyre and keep a hold of your receipt. SO has anyone tried the Yokohama Prada's? i have had Toyo's before and dont rate them like the Goodyear's so any advise. Hi Guys I was down at S+S today and had a good close look at one, customers car, very lucky guy, it had the leather seats and the tv dash display, really looks diffrent in the flesh compaired to the photos. HI M8 I think there were 2 poeple in, one was sitting at the desk in the office and the other just floated passed me( Could have been busy). If they were dealing with someone then i could have understood. That was over a year ago now, these things dont grind away at me, its just one of these things. I also been promised phone calls back from the Halleys branch about trading in a P1 and trying to get a price but they 2 dount seem to bother to much, as if my buisness aint to important to them. S+S are the closet to me so that is why i use them Cheers Dougie

HI Guys Yip i will 100% agree with you there, first impressions last and i know the feeling. I will agree about the oil change i doubt i would have been happy either, but that is your department to deal with as you see fit no one else can tell you. I felt the same as you but with Ian Grieve in Falkirk its as if they couldnt give a damn about customers( well thats the way it felt to me and my wife) when i walked in took a look about stood for 5 minutes then walked out,not one word was said, and i aint been back since.Maybe they are diffrent no a days though And yes you are right about positive and negative comments about dealers that wass the reason i said there is always 2 sides to a story. Hi Guys I have bought 2 Scoobs of John at S+S before and have them a total of 6.5 years, i have always used S+S for the serviceing and still will. Who did you deal with regards the oil problem? If i have had the car in and it comes out with hand prints all over the paint, then i have told John about it and i even get an apology for that, it means he can pull the boys up for not washing the car. Ours is due a service in 2 weeks and it will still go to S+S as i feel they are more competative with there prices and i know i can go back to them if there was ever a problem. HI Russel Meet you at Knockhill a few years back with Kev. Totaly agree with you M8 if people keep sticking there nose in then it can get a bit of a pain in the arse M8. Its your call and no matter what people say on here you will do what you see right for yourself at the time. What you will find is that you have p i s s e d the other Tunners of without even trying to people might have said but Bhp quoted me this and Bhp did a really good job for me the last time,Bhp cars got this at the rollers Ect, and they can only get back at you by saying all the s h i t of the day about you.
