  1. Mmm,not been on here for a while but was privy to the visit above,my recolection of this was completely different,as it was 6 months previously when she wanted a test drive in a 330s and a Cosworth we had in stock.Hope you managed to get sorted out with a car,and we still dont have any STI's available until next year.....thats because we have sold them all.

Grant hope all is ok with you,you still got the BM?

  2. I take it that the HPI was done prior to purchase therefore tell them not to worry, repo. is slightly different under Scottish Law and obviously it is a personal loan as it isn't attached to the vehicle, they will also have an indemnity under the HPI check to cover them if info is incorrect(£10000)and as a result they are out of pocket.

  3. A BIG BIG thanks to all that kindly donated at the Falkirk Wheel event to this fantastic and worthwhile cause....

And to Bobby C for organising what looked like another cracking day and allowing us to park our STI DEMO for all to view.

    Thanks again all

  4. Hi all,

I am exploring the possibilities of swapping my WRX (hawkeye) for a newer Hatch STi but not sure which way to go.

Today I had a look at a nice 330S and loved the way the car felt to drive, but I am aware that the normal STi can be a few grand cheaper. I am just looking for peoples thoughts on whether to save a few more pennies and look to get the 330S or whether the normal STi is not too different in the real world. Of course I could always get the PPP fitted if I decide to if/when I want the additional power.

Appreciate anyones thoughts on this, thanks guys.

Ah that was your WRX in Black yesterday, nice car.....If it was me and i was buying i would go for the ultra rare black sti that used to be a member on here!!

  5. Semi synthetic when running an engine in then onto fully :)

The good think about getting it changed at ANY garage is a stamp in the book, not required to be a stealers stamp either!

For the record it DOES require to be a 'STEALERS' stamp as its under the Subaru Proven scheme, this warranty doesn't fall into the block exemption ruling that for instance a New car warranty would. If it has any work carried out by A N Other then the warranty is null and void.

Hope this clears this up for you Chris.

  6. Im sure infact, I know there are several threads dating back to when Jesus was around, but I would like some up to date advice on what oil to put in the Interceptor.(First 900 miles)

Subaru have quoted me £100 for Shell Helix oil, filter, changed

Kiwk Fit (just thought I would ask as they are across the way), Mobil 1, £50, filter, changed

    Hyperrtek- havent heard back

    Greers- Havent spoken to them

I think I used to use motul 15w50 and or millers 10w60

    What is best?

Remember its whats best for your years warranty

  7. Gav, I reserve every right to comment on how a car looks in a photograph - there's nothing at all indecent about that! Being free to share our opinions on this stuff is a large part of the appeal of this forum, as far as I'm concerned B)

And it may drive like a Ferrari F430 for all I know, I was offering an opinion specifically on aesthetics...

Anyway, I'm sure it'll sell fine regardless of anything I say, but that's not going to stop me having a pop!

Like i have said earlier,i'm not getting defensive, but if you were to admit the truth, lets face it you didn't buy your car on its stunning good looks :D ,Subaru ownership isn't about looks its about what it can do as a drivers car.

If its down to 'aesthetics' then i don't think Subaru have ever produced a car that you could say was absolutely drop dead.

Only my opinion, and i have owned enough of them over the years not to have bought them on how they look but how they drive,i can remember the first Hawk Eye we had delivered New back in 05 and the car caused uproar on this and many other forums with regards to its intensely ugly looks.......and look at it now, widely accepted by all and looked upon as one of the nicer versions offered.

For me this is one of the most complete and good looking UK Imprezas this side of the P1,well spec'd better finished and amazing handling thanks to Spec C susp.

    Gav

Oh and happens to be the same price as a P1 and that was 10 years ago.....

  8. It doesn't matter a toss whether you like it or not at the end of the day, cause all you subaru enthusiasts can't afford it & by the time we or you can Subaru will be so far off the mark you'll have forgotten why you wanted one in the first place £33,000 for a scooby, the car will always sell but (WE) cant afford it.

NOW Bobby,i know you are lying.......you can certainly afford it!! B)

  9. No need to be so defensive, Gav - Chevrolet seem to be doing fine selling some of the monstrous crap they're manufacturing, so I fully expect the new Depreza Saloon to be a rip-roaring success.

    Good times!

I'm not????you can see that by the smile!!!

But have you firstly seen the car in the flesh, and secondly driven the car-NO,well at least do the decent thing and pass comm B) ent after both of the above.
