Nah .. different one Martin .. Gordon's was lower mileage with 19" wheels, I think it's Dougie549's .. One of the best P1s I've seen .. I remember the PFF7s and twin headlight conversion from Loudon Castle show last year. The Sti has been sold .. went to have a wee looky at the weekend [] but it was gone [] Steve

Hi Jim, Definately better .. firm but not too firm .. When I first got the car I liked the feel of it but it felt just a bit too soft cornering compared with my Classic wagon that seemed really firm and was great fun on corners.. S+S in Ayr fitted them with the Prodrive settings and .. WOW .. what a difference [] Back to familiarity ! 5000 miles on and the car impresses me more and more each day [H] Go get 'em .. you won't regret it ! Cheers, Steve -

Hi Gus, I bought the charcoal Ex-WR1 wheels which had RE040s on them ,for my Classic , last year and found that they tramlined really badly.. Like you I tried all sort of tyre pressures etc .. but gave up [:|] Fitted Eagle F1s - CAN'T RECOMMEND THEM HIGH ENOUGH! [H] Great handling in the wet and dry in comparison with the Bridgestones which were meant to excellent in the dry but a bit twitchy [] in the wet. As Brian says tho, the RE-O50s different kettle of fish.. MUCH better [] Cheers, Steve

Just my 2p's worth .. I've now dealt with S+S for 2 years now ,and having dealt with in the past VW, Renault, Volvo, and Reg Vardy garages , I have to say I've nothing but praise for S+S. They've always been very helpful, friendly, and will do their best to solve any problem if you have one. Plus, my uncle, a huge Vauxhall fan , who has dealt with many garages over his 50 odd years of driving all over the UK ( and is a fussy old goat []) was changing his car and I introduced him to John.. He's now bought his 1st Scoob and wishes he'd been to S+S 20 years ago he was that impressed with their service and Subaru. S+S are one of the very 1st Subaru dealers in the country, and they have to be doing something right in this day-and-age of your Arnold Clark/Reg Vardy domination to stay in business. As Dougie said , I know each to their own , but I feel in every trade there will always be someone who isn't happy and that's their choice to go elsewhere. Steve

Welcome all you newbie Scoob owners and welcome to the forum [] Steve

Ive had my wagon with PPP for 4 months now and love it to bits .. Best performance outa all the WRXs I've had ( that's right .. count'em Brian [] [] ) Agree with Gus about the handling , the car was enjoyable to drive but not confidence inspiring .Fitted the Prodrive Spring kit and what a difference .. Brilliant![] Reminds me of the handling of my Classic now. As for the whine I heard this 1st when I test-drove the UK300.. I fell in love with that noise ! Lol !As soon as you backed off the turbo .....[H] My wagon does it but it's not as noticable . The brake noise is there too but thought it was just rust on the disc 'cos I dont use mine that much now. At least I know it's nothing to worry about . No 1st gear whine tho .. Cheers, Steve

Hi Martin, I'd go for the Prodrive Spring Kit ( big difference) , the 2006 Spoiler ( which IMHO looks the dogs!), buy that exhaust off me [][] and , as St3ph3n said , save the rest for when you need new pads and discs. Good luck on the new job and see you soon, Cheers, Steve.
