About pm9575

  1. Hi chaps, Does anyone have a scooby doo over what brands of racing brake fluid are blue? I need to top up my resevoir, and have no specific details on the type/ brand previously used. (Doh!!!) Guidance on who might stock such is welcome. Thanks, Phil.
  2. Well..........perhaps an electronic gizmo, box, thingy to replace the 'dodgy solenoid' boost actuator control. And a few bitties ready to fit such as V4 splitter/ polished slam panel plate/ PIAA dual tone horns (& get rid of the bleedin constipated OEM ones) and a set of NGK Iridiums to help with BHP a little better. Really want to get hold of a pair of hydraulic bonnet stays from Milsport, but I can't spend any more 'til after the MOT in May.
  3. Most the engine work was thanks to a small mechanic shop down in Doncaster. As the engine was of a high mileage it was stripped down and rebuilt with a 7kg fly wheel, omega pistons. It uses yellow injectors, Walpro pump and an FSE type regulator. After that it's pretty much down to the replacement Steve Simpson mapped 'GEM's' ecu board, and the front mount intercooler. No MAF, just takes it's intake reading from manifold. Has the old Ninja SS cat-less system. Oh & not forgetting the sonar Lexus lights with give it that extra 15bhp [:$]. Still I did say things are done on a shoe-string... http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g69/pm95...print220406.jpg Big thanks the comments guys.
  4. Had the car on the rollers on Saturday, and there it is just over 292 at the flywheel, and good fuel delivery too. Not bad for a shoe-string budget, and beats my old STi V5. Again well chuffed. http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g69/pm95...adpic220406.jpg
  5. Thought that the WRX was a vented rear disc, but the pad may still fit the caliper. Best to wait for the experts to come along shortly. If you can't find the pads listed on a drop down menu, best give Camskill a call. Their delivery is pretty rapid too.
  6. Has anyone mentioned Camskill for price and availability. They have deals on Tein and much more.[:D] www.camskill.co.uk
  7. Any one for a black Wagon R?
  8. Pictures...That would be good. Where do you guys recommend to buy from? Tryin to avoid the ebay route if possible. [*-)]
  9. Yup. This is this sort of advice I was after. I assume then that those being advertised for around £600 are the look-a-like type and not the real deal? Although again I assume the 'carbon style' such as yours 'Iqy' are a laminated material? i.e.: not metal? Ultimately, I'm after saving weight, and yes the look is part of the idea too, particularly with my OEM bonnet in need of cosmetic touch-up anyway. Keep the info coming and thanks.
  10. Hi, Any recommendations for a good product, good fit, pro's & con's living with a carbon fibre bonnet? I appreciate the more you spend... and so on, but is there a happy medium jobbie out there that you guys are aware of or have tried? [:$] Thanks in advance. pm9575
  11. You wanna lay the fake tan cream.
  12. To be honest, there are a few decent B&B's dotted around all over these parts, and especially Banff may prove a good location. You've got a pretty broad run if Buckie, Aberdeen, and Peterhead are to be commuted to - so again try Banff, Macduff. Search the Scottish Tourist info site for B&B's perhaps? Good luck.
  13. Get onto Turriff Tyres (PF Alloys), excellent prices on Toyos or cheaper brands, all fitted, etc. If you want just the tyres for another to fit (i.e.: Turriff not convenient to get to - look at Camskill 'on line', just do a search). pm9575
  14. Yum, would you know if that deal is still available? Who do I contact? pm9575
