WCS, a boat/ship is usually taken on sea trials after
launching.  Typically these trials would occur after construction, but
before handing over to the first owner, or following a refit or major
modification to the vessel.  Such trials will establish whether the
performance of the vessel meets the contractual requirements in terms
of speed and handling. HMS Daring was expected to do about 28/9knots. She's done 30knots on ONE engine so far!!

Yes John, she'll be performing the trials in the marked mile area off the Cumbraes and Arran.

She wouldn't have been in Lerwick and the tugs were there to maneuver here off the slip and back town to the Tail O the Bank.

It's an issue that could be resolved rather simply but as usual the SIDC like to make a fuss.

I'm happy to oblige and do not have a problem where anyone wishes to be an RO.

Again, I provided a fact and have experience of people having MAJOR difficulties in who done what around here.

Frenchy I was not having a dig at you but the fact that this issue has been raised before.

How simple would it be to drop the 'Strathclyde' name? Instead you get all the usual suspects pointing out that I am creating problems when I am merely stating the obvious.
