  1. My two pennies worth, i'd definately pay for the subscription. If the equipment is fitted, you have already saved best part of £400, so now its just the annual activation fee which needs paying. One thing worth considering though, depending how long ago it was fitted, it may need inspecting / testing to ensure it is in good working order. Having seen the other side of how tracker works, i would recommend it. Watch "Police Interceptors" and you will see what i mean Hope this helps.
  2. lupuss - I could've wrote exactly the same post. I too have not long been back from France, and spookily enough Brittany too. This is the first time i have taken my car to France and had exactly the same reaction to my car as you have had with yours. They certainly do seem to stand out, i guess thats because 99% of all other cars on the road were Citroen, Renault or Peugeots I too had my car photographed a number of times having left it in the Supermarchet etc. Again, having arrived back at Dover, within a couple of minutes saw loads........so common !!! Looking forward to taking it back next year
  3. The easiest way is to buy a 2.5" IDE to USB converter. Most laptop harddrives are 2.5" in size and are IDE, certainly for a model 5 years old. The newer ones are SATA. Best bet is to search eBay (as they are by far the cheapest) for the words 2.5" IDE USB. This should being up something like 2.5" IDE USB. You then install the haddrive into the caddy, plug it into your new laptops or main PC USB slot and you have complete access to all the files on your old drive. Alternatively, find someone with such a device who can do it for you by tranfering the data onto to perhaps DVD. Hope this helps. Steve
  4. Glad you're enjoying the program guys Its all a bit weird for me watching myself on TV. To give you an idea, we haven't seen any of the program until it goes out each Firday, so its a bit of a surprise for us all also. Good opportunity to advertise the Scoobs though and i'm sure there will be a few more surprises in the next 3 final episodes
  5. 13 Cars confirmed with Rooms booked from the ESC so far
  6. Stands out doesn't it. Very pleased with this edition
  7. Especially the front cover along with pages 18 & 19. I wonder who wrote that article B
  8. The latest SIDC magazine has a nice write up on an EVO & Impreza that gets used every day next to each other
  9. I'm working on that already mate with also a good quality front mounted camera. It gives speed overlay by the GPS, downside, you'll need a computer fitted to the car also !! Have a camera, you know you want to !!
  10. The cameras are £40 each or £45 including a mounting bracket for the new age Imprezas. The cameras are colour with infrared capabilites for night time reversing. They really are excellent cameras and are cheaper than some of the mono-chrome ones available. The lens is also plastic which i like as i have a previous barrell type camera and the lens was glass which lasted no time at all. They work off of standard 12v and have a phono type connection for video output. Hope this helps and they can be ordered through my site which is - Regards, Steve
  11. Whoooh !! I don't think my CarPc came to that much !! Damn that must be one of the most expensive headunits i have seen, good on you though !
  12. Alternatively you can get an OBD 2 reader and just reset the code yourself and to make sure it is the EGT. Furthermore the OBD reader will allow full diagnosis so you can see any other faults looming. Subaru normally charge in excess of £55 to reset the CEL once, these are available now for £75 inc P&P [] With the right software it also allows dyno runs and quarter / half mile measurements etc. Of course once purchased you are not limited to Subarus, they will work on any European cars after 2001. Good pieces of kit.
  13. Yes it will mate. The camera is standard 12v input with composite PAL video output. Normally these types of headunits have a wire which you can attach to the reversing light, so when the car is put into reverse the headunit automatically switches to the video channel. This is what the cabelling looks like on the camera. Hope that helps. Steve
