  1. If you get the car from a dealer then there is a 3 month warranty by law .

The sold as see rule dose not hold water any more m8.

Take the car back right down what the mileage was when you got it and what it is now and work out how many you did in it then tell them.

As this will show you have not used it.

All the best with it but i think he will have to fix it or give you your money back.

Use the words the car is not fit for purpose.

  2. Omg i have just set this up on my pc and what an operating system it is very fast and stable.

Took 20 mins to set up and all my software works on it 64bit two.

For once they have something that works.

    Well happy

  4. yeah i heard about the MAF issues on the MY99 about a month ago, i am going to pull the engine and get the heads skimmed i was talking to a subaru mechanic earlier on this morning where he told me not to right off the engine if there are no knocks get the heads skimmed and that thould work atreat, as i never got them skimmed a few months back and i never used new strech CH bolts.

so going to get new bolts, heads skimmed and fit a new clutch this time, fingers crossed metal gaskets that were replaced 2 months ago will still be usable were the mechanic said they would prob be OK as there the genuine subaru metal gaskets i stuck in.

anyways i will be elbow deep first thing the mora morning.

    Hello m8

I have just been reading your post if you are going to take the heads off do not use the old head gaskets.

I have rebuilt a few Subaru engines and lots of others do not use the old ones.

As once you have put the heads on you have taken up the movement in the gaskets.

And when you take the off they don't go back so the next time you put the heads on they will not seal as well.

It is not worth it as you will be taking the engine out again to put new ones on .

  7. errr i'm 43 and left home at 17 so haven't been living in daddys pocket for quite a while so :)

Well start acting like a 43 year old that has left home not a 5year old that's had his toys taken away.

One more thing P*ss of back under the stone you come from. :o:D:PB)

Big d don't let this baby get under your skin you are doing a good job.

And if this is a stand point for Cotswolds then they will be very silly to upset some one that helps 16,685 registered members of a Subaru site ?????...
