About scooby g

  1. Very strange..... but from An old sidc member who can't keep away
  2. In the ideal world i would keep the scooby as my day to day car and have an elise for the weekend The truith is that the scooby is too much of a target for a small group of sh!theads in birmingham. I had a visit from a representitive of the probation service who came round to my house for a chat. When i said to her that i did not think the chance of being a victim to this sort of crime again was slim, she seemed very surprised She told me that the gang culture in certain areas of brum is to shoot first, then make your demands I live in a reasonable area, but that doesnt really help much. The car that they used to drive into the back of me was a 03 golf! It had been car-jacked the day before. The scooby is just too much of a temptation for them. Its got street cred and its an excellent get away car. The elise is no good as a get away car. It takes 10 minutes to get into and is almost impossible to get out of Can you reserve me a corner at the NBO 05
  3. << Good luck with it Greg, carefull on those Derbyshire bends might see you on a trackday next year then >> Dave if its ok, could we join in the santa cruise
  4. << should've shot the barstuward. he'll be out in two years to do it again. this country's law is sh1te at times! another example is here. cut to the chase! a guy goes to jail for definding his own home. >> Mugged by a cow!!!!!!!!
  5. Its going to be strange going from the scooby to an overgrown go cart They arent quite as forgiving as a scooby
  6. As you may remember, i was car-jacked in may this year, and ended up with a metal plate and 6 bolts in my left arm. This i healing nicely now, and the scumbag was caught and got 5 years. Right, thats out of the way now As a result of this i got myself a little daily runabout car, a ford KA. I have still been using the scooby at weekends and enjoying driving it But now its a second car, there has always been a little niggle at the back of my mind. It comes in the form of the lotus elise. I always liked them from their release, but they are totaly impractical as an only car. BUT now i have a runabout So this is to say that sadly i am leaving the scooby fraternaty I promise that i will not loose touch with you all, as i have made some damned good freinds over the last 2 and a half years. So if you are interested, i will be picking up a s1 111s elise next saturday. I am sure i will see you soon at a show or two. Greg
  7. I hope he is not too shaken. This story is just too familiar
  8. Prodrive Performance Pack Ooopps I spent that long reading the thread that the ppp question was already answered
  9. Tie his balls to a piece of chicken wire say around 5 feet long. Tie the other end to my scooby. Then i could drive down the road at between 30 -40mph If he can't keep up, then oh dear
  10. The detective that phoned me today said that if he had plead not guilty, forcing a full court case, the outcome would have been more in my favour. Juries dont take kindly to scumbags dragging their victims by there own cars down the road at 30 -40mph Realisticly, i got off lightly with the injuries that i incured. I try not to think about what the outcome might have been. The police told me that they wanted to push for more charges because of his disregard for my safety, but the way the judical system works, it would be hard to do in court This sh!thead will be out in 2 -3 years time, but i will be left with a metal plate in my arm for the rest of my life. Oh well. Thats the law in this country
  11. Just thought i would let you know that the scumbag who nicked my car on may 27th went to court to plead today. And he plead guilty He got a lenient sentence for the guilty plead of 5 years Greg
  12. I went for the coded option. Its a bit of a pain, but feel its that little bit safer. Its all down to personal choice though.
  13. We had a great weekend and could'nt fault the organisation Its so easy just to turn up on the day. Just to let you know that we do apreciate all the hard work that you put into it. Thanks
  14. I have got my blackjax fitted now I am almost tempted to go for a drive down my road and accidently forget to set the code I have already tried it out stationary.........EEEOOOW EEEOOOOW ZZRRRIIPPP ZZRRRRIPP EEEPP EEEPP EEEPPP... what a racket A big thanks to the guys at motorguard. The misses will be home from work soon. That will give me another chance to play with it Just to show her of course
  15. No problem ben. Glad your happy mel. As i said earlier, i have only heard good things about motorguard. I knew that i was going to get one fitted anyway, and it was an opertunity for me to save a few quid and do other people a favour at the same time. Mine is being fitted tomorrow morning Sorry i didnt get to speak to everyone this weekend at jae. There were just so many faces and cars to see. kim I hear you bought a strut brace from tsl Got one myself on saturday. Should have seen if i could have got a group buy Greg
