About scooby g

  1. Thanks for the mail paul There is just too much uncertanty for me at the moment. Apart from our little excursion up north, the last 6 weeks have been pretty tedious. Even if we had our scooby back now, i know that i would not be in a fit state to drive My first and main problem is to find a second run around car, but its catch 22. Its hard to search when you have no transport. I am afraid that the money saved for the IOM will have to be used else where. But there is light at the end of the tunnel. We are off to sunny climes on 27th december for a while
  2. I can't even begin to compare my little problems with what you have been through bob
  3. Sorry lad's and lass'es, but we have had a hard decision to make We are still scoobless at the moment, and my wrist is far from right (its left). It still has very limited movement and there is nerve damage to my thumb and forefinger resulting in a sence of pain/burning replacing the sence of touch I am also going to have to look for a second car now as well, as i will not want to use my scooby for daily transport in future. So we are going to pull out of this years event I know we could still go as foot passengers, but i dont think that we would get the most out of the holiday in my present condition. I left this decision as long as i could, to see how my wrist would respond. When we are back to normal, we will try and get over to scooby island. I have pm and e-mailed Richard with our decision. Once again, sorry about this. Best laid plans and all that Greg and Alison
  4. Sorry Alan. Must have been all the trauma thats confused my brain cell
  5. The car is still at the scoobyclinic. I told them there was no hurry, but it will be ok for the IOM. What i am not so sure about is whether i will be fit to drive I have got limited movement in my wrist, and my thumb and forefinger are not right either. Going back to the hospital on tuesday for physio. At the moment i cannot grip properly or lift anything without pain. On a brighter note, have you got a p1 now Alan
  6. Just checked out that link Bob. It works out at £49 b+b for a double room Sounds like a good deal, but i still dont know if i will be fit to drive by then We still intend on coming whatever happens. Oooeeerrr
  7. Have you had any extra interest since paul's write up in true grip?
  8. The cars up at scoobyclinic at the moment. There is nothing that a bit of their TLC wont cure I told them to take there time though, as i won't be able to drive for a while. How are this years plans comming along ?
  9. The thumbs about as much use as Heskey Lots of physio to come
  10. Got out of plaster today. One big scar Arm feels really stange
  11. Registered as well. Keep up the good work. See you in july
  12. Welcome to the Low life scum appreciation society Greg
  13. We will let you know what we are going to do about this one once i start to get things sorted. As it stands at the moment, my left arm is plated back together, and in plaster. I have been told that my gearbox is kna%%%ed, but i havent seen the car yet I cant see myself being fit enough to drive in time, and unfortunately, Alison does'nt drive. When i know more, i will be in contact. Greg
  14. I think they must be hard at work on scooby island planning our trip. See you at japfest on friday richard
