About Twobeers

  1. Hi all I'm in a bit of a pickle at the moment... I need to get my MY94 MOT'd and don't have my original catted centre section. I don't mind buying one for swapping out, but all the usual suppliers only seem to sell de-catted sections now and the OEM part will no doubt be expensive for what it is. Does anyone in the Herts have a catted centre that would fit an MY94 that I could buy or even just borrow for the MOT? Cheers in advance and safe driving,
  2. Derek, They're yours my friend! Drop me a private message, with your address and I'll post them out First Class tomorrow. Glad they're going to a good home. Happy reading!
  3. Sweeet... you be careful on them two wheels for sure! Nice feeling to have left something behind with the avatars... I'm going to miss my Scoob Best car I have ever had. (sobs uncontrollably) Happy memories..
  4. Hi McScooby Good to hear from you again - I'm very well thank you. Yea, been away a while... and had a baby son in the meantime. Problem is, the Scoob has to go now She's putting on her best togs for a quick sale and then my cardigan and slippers days begin. Hope you're well and car is ok (still got the Sport?) I see my original avatar has been hijacked by a few members
  5. Hi all I have the following back issues of the club's 'True Grip' magazine going spare, either as a job lot or I can split them (only one copy of each issue, sorry). I will send them out FOC to anyone who wishes to have them (else it's off to Evilbay with them). 6. Hi Phil Just on the point about 'hits', to clarify - a 'hit' is any request to a website made by a user's PC. For example, when a webpage is loaded, various elements of it get requested by the user (images, the html code of the page etc.) All of these generate 'hits'. In real terms, what this means is that if you load one web page (e.g. a home page), you are in fact generating several 'hits', however you have only generated 1 unique site 'visit'. In short, 'hits' are not a true measure of site traffic. The true number of users accessing a site is 'unique site visits'. it's also worth remembering that as search engines and 'bots' crawl the web, they generate a fair amount of hits on sites too. These can't really be considered to be real users of a site. Hope this helps! Cheers,
  7. Cheers guys I'm just still a bit mystified as I can't contact them by telephone... and that says 'fly by night' outfit to me. Safe driving all,
  8. Hi Has anyone ordered off these people and received their tyres? Are they legit? None of the UK telephone numbers work at all (discontinued tone). Cheers,
  9. Hi all Just wondering if anyone can recommend a reliable garage that can give my scoob a half-service (oil change etc.) in the South Herts area. I live just outside of Enfield, nowhere near the dealers Adams (Aylesbury) and Quenby's (BaldocK). Now that Lavender Hill Garage have ceased to be a Subaru dealer/service centre there is no-one nearby that I can drop my car off to on a morning and feel confident that it's not going to be worked on by some trainee. I have a local garage I trust, but they don't have any workshop or service schedules for Scoobs. Any ideas? Thanks, Twobeers
  10. Hey all, Looking forward to a great day tomorrow, hope to see some of you again and meet a few new ones. Look out for me, I'll be the twerp walking round with a name badge on Safe trip to anyone going, and see you there. Twobeers
  11. Zan I hate needles alot, so I understand your trepidation... and I wish you all the best. Good luck,
  12. Hi GaryS Welcome to the Forum and the SIDC. As you have already seen, great bunch of guys and very helpful to old and new alike. Safe driving,
  13. Pedro to stay! This forum is about people who are INTERESTED in Scoobs, not just owners. It's about the people, not the cars, so if you want to stay on the forum Pedro then I sure as hell don't have a problem with that!
  14. Mark Awesome! Glad you're so pleased with it. My car was too old for a PPP (dealer told me AFTER purchase!) so I've been piecing the bits together myself over the past 2 years. Have to say, with the bits strapped on and giving it some wellie, yep a PPP is well worth it... Enjoy the car, drive safe tho,
