About ZaN-the-Witch

  1. Cheers everyone, He was only in his early 50's (Yes, I know thats ancient to some of you guys!) The family is coping well right now - stuff to organise & so on - better than us in fact - we 'tore up good' yesterday. Just can't believe he's not there to banter with about Shumacher! Dave was a big 'Shumie' fan - unlike us....!! ZaN
  2. << 'The Witch' since school days due to an unhealthy interest in the occult.....LMAO Maybe I shold change my user name to Ashley the Deviant >> LMAO Nice one.......
  3. Blimey this thread has legs! I'm Sandra - folks call me 'San' - I hate that - I sound like one of the Fat Slags from VIZ. or a compound for cleaning toilets!!!! So I changed it to Zan. I have had the nickname 'The Witch' since school days due to an unhealthy interest in the occult.....LMAO Hence ZaN the Witch.
  4. Hi Chuck, He was married but they did not have any children. Utterly car mad! - everytime he bought something new we had to follow suit! I'd be here all day if I tried to list them. I would never have had my Scoobys if it was not for him! God bless him, he will be missed. ZaN
  5. Hello team, I'm sad to let you know that Dave Reeves-Beasley who was know to you as 'Hannibal' lost his short fight with Cancer last night. This picture of him & Andy, in front of his beloved Scooby, was taken about 18 months ago when he was hale, hearty & happy. (Dave is on the left) Still watching the F1 - and adoring his cars up to the end. He won't mind me telling you he took me faster than any man ever did! See you on the Grid Dave, Sandra & Andy Cartlidge (ZaN the Witch)
  6. << Hi Good to see you back on the forum...the last time I spoke to you you have sold the scoob but were having all sorts of problems with the guy that bought it...how did that turn out. Mark >> Hiya Mark - afer a little advice from the folks on this wonderful forum.....we explained a few facts to him......and we heard no more about it. It's a pity he got so nasty with us because we could have helped him out, pointed him to the best garages & so on. Serves him right for thrashing the engine when it had been driven by a nice little old lady like me..........****Very wicked grin**** ZaN
  7. Blimey!! - Somebody remembers me.......lol Hi folks glad to see your all still melting the tarmac. ZaN
  8. Still here - a little older - not much wiser - but a lot slower............****wicked grin**** ZaN
  9. How you all doing? We are fine - still driving boring stuff ~~~~~~Ouch!!!! Andy just kicked me, he had his new Golf today, only got 10 miles on the clock! I'm lumbering round in a RAV4 - great for towing the bike though....lol and young AJ (wot is now taller than me & size 13 shoes.....!) - is just applying for his licence (he want's a Nova.....AAAGGHHH! - have I taught him nothing.....??) He's doing an apprentiship in vehicle maintenence so it could be good practice....LMAO....! Watch this space 'cos when Beckys wedding is over we might have some spare Scooby money to play with, I tried talking her into a few ham rolls at The Swan but it did not go down too well, Catch you all later, ZaN the Witch
  10. I just looked up Blackjax, I thought it was an immobiliser type of thing (and indeed it is) But have you seen this one? Bar-B -Q Nice & effective eh? ZaN
  11. I find one of these works quite well too clicky We always hide our keys as soon as we get in. That Audi ragtop we bought had come from a car key buglary (cloned car - we did not know!! I'm not in the habit of buying stolen vehicles!) VERY common crime here in the Midlands at the moment, in the paper every night someones nice motor nicked by some scumbag. ZaN
  12. British by Birth English by the grace of God! ......................and no I don't have a flag.......it causes to much drag
  13. Hi Mark - I did not want to hijack the other guys thread! We have heard no more from the fellow - yes I know you all told me but I still worried..... I'm a Mom - it's in my job discription.....Worry, even when there is no reason to worry & then fret a bit. It's been a month now, so I think we would have heard something. I'm still vexed over the whole thing as I loved that car! We have changed vehicles yet again as the CLK was great, but seriously thirsty only doing about 13 MPG (worse than the scooby & no nice buzz & grin factor!) So last weekend we bought a RAV4 five door 2002 in Lagoon Blue & Silver .....its a.................. [stage wisper] diesel.... [gasp] I'm thrilled to bits with it, handles like a Golf & you can chuck your bike & the dog in the back no worries also does 35MPG in the 'park & ride' called 'Zan's journey to work. and even more on a run. I know this 'cos it's got a little 'puter thing that tells me. I can also say if anyone is thinking of one I can highly recommend Westlands Toyota in Amblecote - superb service. We had been to lots of dealerships including Mercedes & Land Rover & the Toyota guys knocked them into the proverbial cocked hat. Coffee & biccys on every visit & even gave me a bunch of flowers when we collected the RAV..... I normaly have to have a baby, or surgery to get bought flowers.....***wicked** ZaN
  14. Sorry to hear about that, when they nick these limited editions they get 'resprayed' quite quickly as the decals etc are a bit of a givaway. all depends on the IQ of the twits who took it. I hope you get it back mate - there are lots of folks looking out for it. ZaN
  15. Sorry to hear that Simon, these blooming orthopeadics can take ages sometimes. (I should know, I was a nursing Sister in a trauma ward) - down boys.... I know someone who needs help with a re-build....***very wicked grin*** ZaN
