About STi Paul

  1. Thanks so far guys Phil - LOL ........ Didn't realise Northumberland had been moved to Scotland. Last time I drove there it took nearly one & half hours. Paul
  2. After a recent "off" , my wife has decided to buy me one for a crimbo pressy. I have heard of Don Palmer, and John Lyon. Has anyone had any experience of these, or know of any others?????? Any input would be welcome. Paul
  3. Agree with most comments, but why "in the outside lane, on a deserted duel-carridgeway" ??????????????????????? "he pasted me on the inside" ?????????????. If you were not hogging the lane, he wouldn't have had to pass on the inside. If there was room to pass on the inside, YOU should allready be there.
  4. Cheers Cooldad. So a good quality fully synth, 5w50, or 10w50, will do the trick then. The dealer uses semi-synth in the service. Does this need to be drained, or can I just top-up with full-synth?
  5. So me and Neurons dare to ask reasonable oil related questions, and nobody is able to shed any light on the problems. I would think that when the oil temp got to 125 degrees, this summer, on the track, that something could be done. An oil cooler is a bit excessive, for the few times that it gets that hot, thats why I was asking about different oil.
  6. I can't believe nobody has any input on this
  7. Just wondering if it would be a good idea to use a "thicker" oil in the summer, for when it gets really hot on track, and use the std type for winter. I remember along time ago, my grandad, did somthing like this. Its just a thought, but I would like to know what other people think!
  8. I got black rubber ones With them, all is good, Without, a strange metalic / grinding tinny sound from the contact between rim and tarmac, also quite slip slidy (so I have been told)
