I went to Aylesbury with Warby yesterday in preperation for Germany in August and met most of the people that will be going on the trip to watch the WRC and hit the Nurburgring. I arrived with warby in Aylsebury for the Dyno day and witnessed the following- We appeared. Most people were already there and this happened Shouts of hello and i mean shouts Warm hand shakes Big Smiles Bear Hugs between the guys and the girls doing the same Every woman that appeared was given a kiss and a hug by the guys (all of them) Everyone milled around and circulated with every single person there throughout the day. Revs and Type R Pete are clearly good muckers and were always together but i watched closely for a while and everyone at one stage stood and chatted to everyone there. As a "Newbie" technically speaking or certainly someone they never met before i was made to feel very welcome and was never left standing myself or not having anyone to talk to throughout the whole day. I continued to keep my eyes peeled to see how it compared to SS. I noticed that they didnt talk about one single person that wasnt there other than to mention "pity hes not here, his car is good". How strange. We went to the equivelent of the brewers fare, parked up, inside and had a meal...........wait for it........... WITH ALCOHOL. We got blazing, had a laugh and generally had a good time. When i asked if that was a monthly meet i kinda got a strange look. These people meet, go to an event, go for a run or something without fail almost every weekend. Its not just people from Essex or Midlands or whatever. They just all meet up. I think that if i mention COMPARISON now you will get what my point is here? They also mentioned (some) that they look on our forum to be entertained by the arguments we have amongst ourselves !!!!!!!!!!! Different planet TBH

Looks good mate. Im sure youll be getting more air forced in there than the Doors at Ian Grieves minus the tumblweed

well why doesnt everyone post in general then? they have cool tracks, good outings, they are all meeting to go to London for a RR day tomorrow, however have no need to come north TBH. we on the other hand can go and meet up with them anytime we want. People were going to go to the RR day in Aylesbury tomorrow from here or are going/wanting to go with them to germany. Oulton Park, Kames, Silverstone and the likes are part of our country too The division is easily closed IMHO

and there was him thinking that the "running man" dance he mastered whilst listening to Ultrasonic in Hanger13 would be no use to him 10 years later.

i would say as i have seen it happen. you could potentially drive around here looking for a car and get something for your money that isnt as good as if you had driven to find your dream car. I know of a blue classic that was purchased downsouth and thats an example of going to look for a good car rather than going to SLIM SHADY PINES SHOWROOM or DIRTY BARRYS as an example. DOnt jump in too quickly. think of people that you know who work around the country and ask them to look for you as well when you find one online. Type in subaru, imports, japanese, and the likes under google and consider importing one for about 3.5k plus 1.5k tax

Jamie- Nice one Col- Its 400 miles then we would stay overnight in essex and go to dover in the morning. we get onto the M74 and sit at 70ish in 5th gear all the way. well 6th for me Dynamix- The cost is £150 for all the wrc passes and ferry for one or 2 people. If 2 people were going it would be £200each for hotel so the new total would be- £550 -

WRC Germany 2006- 9th-14th August places still available
Gumball posted a topic in Scottish Scoobies
Evening, In August there are 10 cars heading from Dover across the channel to Dunkirk and then onto the Nurburgring for a few laps followed by a drive to the WRC Germany. The rally passes have been organised and there will be access to the service area for subaru and the chance to see the cars being worked on, meet the drivers and do all this whilst enjoying free drinks and food. The Trip will encorporate around 1500miles-2000miles if you live in scotland and will take 5 days. Last year some of the guys downsouth went and as you may have seen from their signatures- followed Peter Solberg and co along the german autobahn at 150mph+ to the start of the rally and had a really good time with a few german beers and some great driving experience. The cost for this is £350 including- ferry, VIP Passes, merchandise bag, hotel accom for 5 nights Any other costs will be fuel, food, drink and the likes. THERE ARE STILL SPACES LEFT FOR THIS TRIP AND SHOULD BE GOOD. IF YOU WANNA KNOW MORE PM ME[] -

Good stuff St3ph3n I thought the only way to do it would be to have links for each area ie- landsend to exmouth and then another link, another, another etcetc would be good if we could get it all on one map

http://maps.google.com/?ll=51.744038,-2.32...414935,3.702393 Guys, Wilky is away for a couple of days and has asked me to help with the map of the UK for the RB Relay. What he wants is a map of the UK where the route from- Landsend-A30, Exmouth-M5, Bristol-M4, M25 (anticlockwise),M40 north to Banbury, M42, M6 north to Scotland, A74, M74 to Glasgow, M8 to Edinburgh, M90 north, A9 to Inverness, A9 north, A99 to JOG I have looked at the map Cal used for the scottish scoobies locations and am struggling to see how to add a route taking the above locations in??????????? We need a map that is either a link as above, or a huge photo where people can save, add their location and re post. What we need is-Example Landsend------A30------Exmouth-------M5--------Bristol Shown all the way up the country in a clear bold blue line. Can anyone help us do this please? Thanks, Chris
