I'm very happy with my Ferrodo DS2500's , the squeel a wee bit when cold but work well when cold and they dont fade as quickly as the standard pad. Robbo.

You can download it mate. Or you usually get it on most PC mag cover disks. Robbo.

FFS Gumbie, how mashed were you last night! lol. PS How do i install the Internets on my computer?
-
Yip do everyting Andy said. Then Run an Anti spyware scan using MS Antispyware found here http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details...&displaylang=en The do an Antivirus Scan (make sure your procuct has the latest update) After that go to the windows update site and follow the instructions, or just reinstall the latest Service Pack (SP2 for windows XP) Robbo

Al, are you running a new age? If so, you don't need a piggy back ECU mate. The whole piggy back ECU thing is a real b*stard hack IMO, after installing it the on-board ECU is in a constant state of WTF is going on! This may not have any affect on real world performance, but it certainly gives me a bad feeling. It's like putting a wee bit of petrol in the tank of a Diesel engine for some added Oomph! (yes that does work - been there, done that on HGV?s in winter). Give my on-board ECU a new environment map any day, and let the thing do it?s job. A hack is a hack is a hack, it will never be more efficient than a hack by design! Robbo

Look at task manager and see what processes are using the most processor time, is anything using 90% or more? If you enable remote desktop and open up port 3389 on your firewall I can look at it remotely for you. I would try reinstalling Service Pack 2 before you do anything though. Robbo

As a rule I always wave, I get plenty back. The wave still lives! Robbo

And the downpipe passes next to wiring and a CV joint which gets dried out with the heat. Robbo

It's great, huge difference after Andy F remap.

I've got the H&S Angle exit for '03 WRX, same exhaust without the "spiral" and blue tip. Far too loud! I'm in Glasgow, PM me if you want it mate. Robbo.

What does that sound like when you are not moving and anti lag is on? Does the turbo just spin and spin?
-
Anti-lag, does that mean you've traded your turbo for a set of twin 50's and a ported head? Or is your Gems creating overrun by over-fuelling on the lift off? *Jealous* Robbo.

My god! The authors wife must hate him! Fantastic though. Good find Gumbie. Robbo.

Scary stuff. At least everyone can have a laugh about it (even if it's not funny!). For anyone that thinks a wrx is going to fair well in an accident then think again. Doors do not fly off of Ford Mondeos! The Impreza has no NCAP rating at all, it?s not even been put up for testing by Subaru! My gut feeling is that without airbags the car would be a death trap in a big accident. Why? The Impreza, as we all know, is build for handling and performance, and so needs to be as light as possible, doh! Structural strength without weight can only be achieved using Carbon Fibre, Composites or Aluminium (expensive bloody materials). Subaru Imprezas are neither Heavy nor Expensive. Crash performance, handling, acceleration and cost of manufacture are at odds with each other. No NCAP rating + 0-60 in 5.4s + sub 20k cost = DON?T CRASH INTO A MONDEO! Someone please prove me wrong. I drive the thing 30mph slower than I could on a back road, as I did my mk1/2 Escorts, and for exactly the same reason, I feel as though if I leave the road - I?ve had it. Maybe I'm just a boring git who likes fast cars? Robbo

Yeh, about 200ish as well.

Best engine sound in the world. Fantastic! We need to do more of that, maybe a wee short film one day. We could call it something like; Bite Ma Baws Vol1 - Flat 4's gein' it large 4 Inches Of Pleasure - Modified Imprezas from a Scottish Perspective Sh*te, Was That A Flash - Compendium of the Scottish Subaru Street Racer How about we approach STV and propose a topic for a local documentary? The pitch would be that they get access to the underworld of Scottish street racing, the drama, the addiction, the passion, the fun and the cost. You can bet the last scene would be Chief Constable Willie Rae condemning the reckless behaviour of a minority endangering the law abiding citizens of Scotland (and I would agree). But it would make great "look mammy, I'm on the telly!" Although I think after that program was broadcast I might take the bus to work for a couple of weeks! Robbo

Fantastic! You just know the guy was a bit pissed off, Well, until he looked at the Ferrari logo on his steering wheel that is.. Robbo

Hayward & Scott............It's going to be a costly week for me!

Sweet. You'll love it. Have a look at the cat inside the up pipe (newage), it's like a block of carboard stuffed down there! When you think of the effort people put in to gas flowing cylinder heads and exhaust headers it becomes obvious why cats are a no-go for performance tuning. Wait till you hear the turbo spool! Robbo. -
Your stereo - what CD's you spinning just now ?
=Robbo= replied to ~ ~ Cal ~~'s topic in Scottish Scoobies
Every sound from 2000 - 6000 Rpm Gonna remove the CD player to free up space to keep my EU approved ear defenders (only use them for long journeys!) ehhhh? What was that "pussy galore"? No Sir, I said is that your car at pump four? -

Hi Mate. I've got the hayward and scott up and downpipes, lovely items, very well made. Also the up pipe is slip jointed to allow for expansion which, as i understand it, is the best way to allow for movement/expansion. Robbo. -
