  1. I've got a Hayward and Scott http://www.haywardandscott.com/Details.asp...152&category=13 Which I had modified by CC Stainless so that it sits right up against the bumper so you dont see the backbox just the tailpipe. Sounds perfect and looks better than anything on the road. Yours for £100 Quid. Cost me nearly £300 in total including mod. Robbo.
  2. The man is a legend. I love the fact that he cut his teeth on pre ECU cars. He remembers changing distributor weights to affect timing! I watched a Focus RS beat a MK1 Escort RS tonight and concluded that in the persuit of quickness we have forgotten something fundamental. Fun. That's why I have sold my Andy F remapped Scoob. You have to go too fast in a scoob to have fun - it's a paradox in a way. Robbo.
  3. I’m thinking of selling my 2003 WRX SL, UK Car <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /> 19400 Miles Full Leather interior, heated seats and electric sunroof as standard. Full <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" />Hayward and Scott Decat, up-pipe, down-pipe, centre section plus 2 H&S Backboxes, traditional PPP looking one and a Jap Style 4.5. (Well Over £1000 for this lot, not to mention fitting!) I also have all original parts, including cats. Up and Down pipes heat wrapped and fitted by Ken Brown Engineering. Two sets of wheels, STI Gold and WRX Anthracite. Tek 3 custom Ecutec remap by Andy Forrest. (£550) All in I’m sure everyone will agree this is a nice example. Why am I selling? I changed jobs just after I bought the car and now I travel all over the bloody country and I’m loathed to put loads of miles on it! Back to the boring Mondeo I’m afraid. I’m looking for £10,500 which considering it costs £21500 at the dealer is a bloody bargain in my book. If I put it in autotrader its going in at £11,500. If interested email me at public@therobsons.com or MSN on xhm44@hotmail.com I live in Glasgow, but won’t be around for about another 10 days as I’m up in Aberdeen. Cheers Paul
  4. Just goes to show that there's no typical brand or age of cop car any more. Bummer. Robbo.
  5. Yip ok, if that's the official guidance to posting a complaint about a company or product, I will do the same before posting my complaint. I have no problem with giving the garage in question a chance to respond before posting. Although if they don't that doesn't make my complaint any less relevant. This is an interesting situation and I shall watch with interest. Remember this is not print or broadcast media, the companies in question can post a reply in their defence any time they like - that's unless the thread has been removed of course. Robbo.
  6. http://www.faqs.org/faqs/usenet/creating-newsgroups/part1/ The only thing you'd lose is avatars and PM's. Anyone fancy a Scottish scoobs newsgroup, completely uncensored + an uncensored IRC live chat channel? I can set up both in minutes. Let’s give Phil a chance to look at the thread contents first and if your not happy with the outcome let me know. Cheers Robbo.
  7. I'm not happy about this and support Gumball and everyone else who posted. This is supposed to be a club forum for members to discuss things relating to the brand of Subaru. My experience with a particular Subaru dealer is far more shocking having cost me several hundred pounds and still no resolution! Shame on the moderators for deleting the thread as it was constructive criticism based on members first hand experience; all garages concerned are free to post there answer to these criticisms. I copied the thread to my local PC and I will be adding my complaint of another garage to it and will repost entire thread, I will then take a vote on the forum to ask whether I should send it to Subaru UK and/or the dealers in question. Ultimately these are personal views published on a public forum. Delete and I shall just repost. Robbo.

  9. Yeh PM's and MSN are ok for person to person, but you need IRC for a chatroom scenario. Robbo.
  10. The problem is we're using a posting forum to chat, we should be using an online chatroom technology such as as IRC. I've suggested this before. Robbo.
  11. Guys, I need 2 new or nearly new Bridgstone Potenza S-03 225x45x17's. Anyone know who might have them, apparently they're not made anymore. Cheers Robbo.
  12. Sold! West coast humour 'an all that. Include me in. Robbo.
  13. << a nice bit of sideways driving there from the dougster! >> Was that Dougster? Christ you'd never guess his old man has a history in rear wheel drive cars! Nice corner. Robbo.
  14. lovely to watch. Good find. Robbo
  15. Sent PM, I'll have them. Robbo
  16. Body looks good now, but those rims just don't cut the mustard. 7.5 or 8's on a 225's are now needed to finish it off. Body shell mods very nice, good choices so far Steph. Robbo.
  17. Aye Burton, that'll sell it. "I've got a Ford for sale, totally top car, cannie mind the model but it's a bargain, got wheels and seats the lot." _ Romeo Oscar Bravo Bravo Oscar out.
  18. ON BBC 1 Scotland? OMFG! That's it, I resign!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  19. GORDON BROWN !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  20. Elephant do not require a tracker and that swayed me.
  21. I agree with Andy's basic point. I would go further and say that newsgroup style posting forums are the wrong medium for what we do here, other peeps use a thing called "IRC" which is a tried-and-tested chatroom thing. The more modern voice equiv of that is TeamSpeak. Probably a mix of all within the one website "portal" would be the answer. Robbo.
  22. << I got tonsilitus so roll on January!!! But Happy New Year to everyone else. >> I warned you about that, stop showing off to the camera.
  23. Jezzus Gumball you really have stood far to close to far to many loud bangs. ;- Happy New Year ya maddie!
  24. Nice one. Just a reminder that Ford were building turbo engines a long, long time ago (Escort RS Turbo, Escort cosworth, sierra) kicking out very respectable BHP and not to mention 4x4 drive trains (escort, sierra). Robbo.
  25. Go to Shell.co.uk you can search by postcode for Stations.
