It's certainly been a long time.
Been of the road since totb. Nipped a piston on a top speed run!
Engine is now a 2.35 and car looks like this.

Still has the oem cat in the down pipe
Hence it'll pass no bother.

It is something to do with air turbulence and the cai kits aren't as prone to this issue. Forgive me again for mentioning scoobynet but there are a lot of good posts on there about this.
I had an aps cai on my last scoob and it was a very nice piece of kit. I was toying with induction kit this time due to our weather etc. most builds you see these days use induction kits instead of cai.
Chris
On big builds cars there is limited space for the huge filter to sit in the inner wing hence why you tend to see induction kits being used.
AF prefers cai and is proven with his mapping.
I've ran both cai and ik with no issues when mapped correctly.
It's purely what you fancy. 10 horses here or there won't make a huge difference on the road and won't suddenly make you a 1/4 mile hero.

The APS cai was one of the best ones I've seen.
But I don't think they make them anymore!
-
Do you want a cai?
If so get it bought.
Simples.
-
It's down to personal taste and money.

Stay safe mate.

Thanks to Greersport for arranging this detailing and sourcing the low mileage example of the hawkeye.
