About SilverTurboWagon

  1. I love it. I've not tracked it yet, but I wouldn't mind (although I always said that about the scoob, too...[] ). It's tough to stretch the boundries, just like in the Scoob, on the public roads. That and I know I will run out of talent before the car will. It is great to feel the push from the rear. With the traction control off it's feedback inspires confidence and the LSD keeps mild play in check. Keep you foot in it and you'll come out OK. Throttle is astounding in sport mode. It's action is so quick it reminds me of my old Gen four Civic 1.6i-16, one of the last generation of cars that had lightning quick throttles before legislation gave us all squishy feel. Front end is well planted, but I'm sure I've detected a smidge of understeer when really pressing on, but it can be adjusted with the throttle. It's just a Jekyl and Hyde car. It's a relaxed cruiser, eating the miles up, then when you want it to be it's a hooligan's joy. Noise, speed, smoke, the whole deal. Still stand by the fact that I prefer the Scoob community. A guy in another one just blanked me as I drove back from footy at lunch time. [:|]
  2. I'm not forcing you to keep posting about it in an agressive manner, so GTFO.
  3. You do know smiley central comes with a metric sh1t-ton of spyware and adware, right?
  4. It would be funny if it wasn't true. We have a thread over there right now were there are a couple of d**ks that are saying it's OK to park in a disabled bay to avoid dings. [8o|] i always park in disability bays, but then again my lass has the badge [] wont that BMW be a fortune to mod it ??? Not worht modding really. You need to drop a ton of money for very little improvement, so I wont bother. Mines an early one so doesn't have the strut brace, so I'll prolly add that and leave it there. The last mod I did was update the on board computer Operating System. My car was on v16 and I went to v25. Big improvement. Then I just got hold of the latest NAV CD that has postcode and fully supports TMC, so I get the traffic updates and re-routing if I want it to. That feature is VERY cool!
  5. Nah, I had the scoob for about a week after I got the M. She was a minter UK car and I had a dyno sheet proving 246bhp/242ft with just a centre, rear box and filter. First to see it bought it. Like I said, t he BMW forum is a little tiring and also over moderated. If there is even a sniff of a repost you get a sarky comment or the post is locked. Threads get moved all the time for being in the wrong forum, even when it's marginal. Just hard work over there.

  7. Bunch of stuck up t******. Example of threads: - Now that non-core BMW customers are buying M3's, what is your next car? - I just called my dealer and I'm not 1st on the list for the E92 M3!! Waaaaaahhh! - Poor people are making my local shops look tacky. What should I do? OK, so I made the last one up, but you get the idea![] Anyhow, I'm loving the M3, but I do miss the scoob and I get a funny feeling in my stomach everytime I hear that flat four rumble, rising to a scream. Pics:
  8. I had an MX5 gen 2 and all the people waved. Well, some. I had a classic and I did find the company car drivers were a little bit hoity-toity.
  9. I fancied one of those. I'd had a C240 in that shape though and found it a little uninspiring and heavy, but I didn't ever get to rag on the 43.
  10. from my M3, so if you see a Pheonix Yellow E46 waving or giving the thumbs up, just wave back. Yeah, I mean you Mr DBM classic V reg with PPF7's on the A23 on Sunday BMW drivers are a bunch of sour c***s. Already had a one series owner shout, 'Your car is sh1t!' and when I gave an M6 driver the thumbs up you might have thought I'd shagged his granny at a baptism from the look on his face.
  11. I'll pop in from time to time. I still see the old names in here and I still have great respect for Subarus and their owners. EXCEPT FOR THAT CHAV THE OTHER DAY WHO WAS SKIPPING A QUEUE COMING AT ME IN MY LANE AND TRIED WAVING, ALL BUDDY-LIKE. I blanked him as he tried to push in. I hate that attitude. Talking of. I'm trying to be a considerate BMW driver as I know they have a reputation. Already had an X type 2.5 radge it off the line at a roundabout to cut me up rotten. He then ripped up to (i guess) 70+mph through a crowded 30mph zone. I on the other hand did not. I'm sure he'll regail the story of how he 'did' an M3 for the rest of his days.
  12. I've noticed that. I've already been a witness to a pissing contest on one of them. They start getting all "considerably richa than yaow" after a while, and that's just nuts. It'll cost me less to run this than the Classic scoob did...
  13. It has Harmon Kardon HiFi, 19" wheels, Telephone, TV, NAV, Bi-Xenon lights, tyre pressure warning, sunroof, and all the other millions toys that come with these cars. It's insane, I keep finding a new feature nearly every time I drive it. I has the piano black interior trim, too, which is an BMW Individual option. It's a very nice example, but then I would say that!
