Was always the way with MK1 escort Owners Escort+Pinto=Tree lol I am also a young scooby owner, was 20 when i bought my WRX, after owning other fastish cars, Golf VR6, MR2 Turbo, not your normal cars at 18/19 i guess, my insurer, who ive been with since day one said your past cars are a big factor when they quote you on a car like an Impreza. Sorry to hear about this guy, ive taken people on test drives in a Previous job and have felt that was gonnna happen to me, guess i was lucky.
  2. Somthing to Always check for when getting an alarm fitted is VSIB acreditation, its like Corgi is to the Gas Industry. It mean alot of inspection on your workshop conditions and the work you carry out, companies that arnt approved odviously arnt confident in their work so beware! Here is a link to the site and to our location on the site, notice full acreditation, it isnt cheap but you have to do it, insurance companies are getting hot on it and over the next year or 2 you will notice it will become essential.   3. gotta say good times, was that with the nitrous towards the end of the strip? Certainly were good times, would have gone if i hadnt thoguht it was gonna rain. Went up there late last year and it didnt start raingin till we were parking up DOH!

  5. guy followed me into a petrol station saying he saw sparks the other night wanna keep it like it is cos it looks georgous and despite what i thought, handles alot better than before, i thought it would be too low and ruin it but not so.

  7. u cant get ur finger in the arch, infact the arch is over the tyre lol, i am going for 18's when money permits so ill let you all know then. set the shocks to medium hardness and it seems nice, ride isnt bad considering and it hasnt rubbed at all yet strangly,appart from the exhaust causing sparks occasionally.......
  8. i got them as a demo deal at work so hush hush on the price Its a full coilover kit, so fully adjustabe for height and hardness, scary thing is they still have an inch to go
  9. actually its dropped a tad more since thev settled. if u look underneith, ull see how low the exhaust hangs under the rear diff, it hits most things, but its fun for the moment, when the big wheels go on it'll go up a bit but am very impressed with the coilovers. Ill take some more pics after a wash this week somtime and post them up. i couldnt stop laughing when he showed me what hed done
  10. just thouht id share with you all that i have FINALLY after 4 months of them sitting in the workshop at work, fitted my spax coilovers, told my engineer i wanted it low, he seems to have taken it a bit too literally and put it on the floor. Problem being, hes gone to Daytona beach for a week with the c spanners locked in his tool box lol . ill try and add some pics and you can let me know, bit dark as it was late when we finished. Please ignore wheels, coming off soon enjoy

  13. Hi all, just a quicky, seen the Tuner 4 exhaust from scorpion, looks quiet nice, anyone got any pics of one on the car or any reports? any info much apreciated Cheers all James
