Anyone Up For A Rolling Road Day?
andy_tregarthen replied to little vodka goblin's topic in South East England
Hi Dave, sorry you never managed to make it. Yeah still alive, just been very busy and the Northants scene has gone a bit dry over the last couple of years. Yesterday was a reminder of what a good bunch of people the scooby owners are. -

Rach, you and Nige did a FANTASTIC job of organising the troops and keeping score, it made our life so much easier to have cars ready, you also made an awesome 'builders brew' I'm still pleased that a classic wagon pulled a good score out of the bag gotta love them GC Wags ! -

Just got home and had a shower after spending most of the day at the dirty ends of peoples cars!! Glad everybody had a good day, was nice to see some old faces and meet some new people, was a pleasure as always to help Paul and such a good bunch of people. Hope to see you all soon for the next one. Cheers Andy -

Take into account what your gonna use it for, be it PC (gaming possibly and has to be good res), TV (HD ?), DVD, Games console. Looked at both Plasma and LCD but ended up with DLP ! old style rear projects are a thing of the past now.

Yes remember Utah Saints, cant remember exact track name but the video yeah. Awesome. Can remember it now [](nodding head to imaginary beat!!) Kinda like the old fast forwarded train drivers view film, Birmingham to London in 5 mins or some similar journey. (Shame we do not posses cameras capable of filming trains doing that journey nowadays, nothing can film that slow)

The Farmer: A young journalism graduate from Arkansas had gone to work for the New York Times. His first assignment was to write a brief human interest story. An idea came to him, and he returned to one of the most remote areas he knew of in his home state of Arkansas. Deep in the woods, he came upon a farmers house and decided this would be a good place to start. He introduced himself to the back country farmer and explained why he was there. The farmer (named Farmer Mahon) agreed to answer his questions. The reporter asked the farmer what event in his life had made him the happiest? Farmer Mahon replied, 'One time a neighbour lost one of his sheep. We all formed a posse and found it. After we all screwed it we took it back to the farmer that lost it." 'I can't print that," said the reporter, "is there another event that made you really happy?" Farmer Mahon thought for a minute and said, 'Yep. One time the daughter of another local farmer got lost. She was a good-looking' young girl. We all formed a posse and found her. After all of us screwed her, we took her back to her daddy." Again the reporter knew he couldn't print the story and decided to take a different tack. He asked Farmer Mahon, 'Is there any event in your life that has made you really sad?" Farmer Mahon hung his head and replied, 'Well, I got lost once."

Heaven Two women in heaven were discussing how they had died. "I froze to death, it wasn't so bad. After I quit shaking from the cold, I began to get warm and sleepy, and finally died a peaceful death. What about you?" "I died of a massive heart attack. I suspected that my husband was cheating, so I came home early to catch him in the act. But instead, I found him all by himself in the den, watching TV." "So what happened?" "I was so sure there was another woman there somewhere that I started running all over the house looking. I ran up into the attic and searched and down to the basement. Then I went through every closet and checked under every bed. I kept this up until I had looked everywhere, and finally became so exhausted that I just keeled over and died with a massive heart attack." "Too bad you didn't look in the freezer - we'd both still be alive!!"

Question about the RB Memorial rally South West leg, was'nt sure who to ask, so went to the top and Louise Rat said to speak to SP or RedNick !! (have PM'd you both) I Am planning on doing the leg from Lands End to the Midlands as I thought it would be a good chance to see my mum in Tavistock the night before, meet up with the SWS lot and have a interesting drive back home to Northampton. Is it ok to join up with you lot ? how is it going to cost for stickers/polo shirts etc ?

OMG, thought the mild buckle on mine was bad. Dont let it put you off the Scoob thou, it aint her fault. As others have said it could be down to the Acids or chemicals used in the recondition process. At work we wont use Tric on any Titanium parts due the the microscopic etching of the surface that leads to failures. Another thought is, have you carried any heavy loads in the car and possible in the past clipped a pot hole or similar. If its a rear wheel you wont feel any vibrations as much as the front. A friend folded a TSW stealth on his 205GTi due to a pot hole, got the council to replace it. Have seen hubs snap off before in rally and race due to high loads but at 25mph is a shocker. Also remember a wheel rotates at a high rpm any small cracks will grow under any vibration that is present. Flippin eye opener thou.

Heres the worst weather reporting for Pod ever !! -At the moment its still wet outside. Was raining earlier. not looking like it will dry that quickly either but. - The sky is fairly clear now, few small clouds passing, cold but no wind. Hopefully it will stay dry for the rest of the night and dry buy mid morning.
