here goes. car failed its mot due to fog lamp not working. car is an import 1998 wrx. i presume fog lamps were not fitted to these models. i have on my dash a switch that when switched on doesnt actually do anything. this i imagine must be the for lamp as when the the headlamps are off and the switch is pressed; nothing. yet when the headlamps are on and the switched is pressed its lights up as to signify a full circuit. unfortunately nothing else happens. checked the bulbs where the foglamps would go and they seem fine and would appear to be wired up. thought there may be a fuse problem, but if this was the case would the swithch not light up, and not being able to understand japanese have n idea what fuse number it is anyway. bit of a long one i know but anyone any ideas. thanks martin

probably one of the more trivial parts reqired. the latch on the inside of my fuel filler flap (try saying that fast after a few) has decided to break and fall off. on going so subaru to purchase this part, i'm told that it actually comes attached to the flap. cost £36 + vat, with the cost of painting to go on top of that. on closer inspection of the broken part(not salvageable) it looks as though the clip slides onto the inside of the flap. does anyone have one of these, or able to confirm where i can get 1, or will i have to scour for a 2nd hand flap. car is a 1998 wrx. how do i get one of these picture thingies under my name? how long do i remain a "newbie" as ive been on the site for bout 6 weeks. maybe that was three problems any help to any of the above appreciated. especially the 1st one thanks martin

from what ive heard, mechanical is the way to go, as with many digital guages, they tend to become difficult to read as light reflects off them, probably not ideal if your driving the car at the time!!!!!!!!

on the look out or a front bumper splitter for a 1998 wrx. (facelifted, if it matters) anyone got one looking to sell, or where i can source one, for decent money. not to fussy if its a replica so long as it its. olour not an issue, as itll be painted along with bumper. must have fitting kit. quite impressed with the sti4 version (3 piece replica). any pics would help. thanks, martin ps hope to go on tuesday,

after seeing it, i had a good idea it wouldn't be around for long! i imagine youll be feeling mixed emotions at the minute. a wee break from scooby ownership; surely not, there should be a law against it. my time has only just started, and to date its been good! all the best in your next choice of car!

1st things 1st, the car is not mine. glad we got that cleared up. I was the lucky 1 who got the ninja exhaust from keap scooby today.(dont know how to link this to his thread, but its here somewhere) anyway 2 things. 1. im more than happy with my exhaust. its not even on the car but im liking it already. 2. got the opportunity to look over the car, and ill tell you this. its well worth the money. must add im not getting paid for this, nor did i recieve any sort of discount. thanks,

saturday no good due to work. was able to meet half way tonight. i thought the box was off the car! thursday is possible(evening) failing that middle of next week as, sun,mon,tue all out due to work commitments. id need to review my shifts to accomodate collection next week. thanks martin
