Hi to the Bright green classic in the rear view mirror of my Volvo up by asda in Rochester today. He did start out in front.. but I guessed he had to turn off for asda... I see the chuckling,,lol

Well, i face a dialema... been 3 months now since the engine gave up and I dont know what to do .... Sell the scooby as it is all mods etc, just needing an engine ? Put a rebuilt engine in it and hope it will last me another couple of years at 340 bhp ? Problem is cash is bit tight at the moment, so cant go balls out on a 2.5 conversion and after digging about have found http://www.smrengines.com/ as engine rebuilders in london, who also sell on ebay and charge £1000 quid for a rebuilt STI engine.. and tempted as it is, is it worth fitting one of these into my 1998 scooby... do we have any experience of them, them seem to have sold a lot of scooby lumps as per their feedback, so someone must have come across them ? arrghh dunno what to do, suggestions ?

engine wont be done in time..... and I really dont fancy taking the volvo...lol

started seeing a Black bugeye, STI spoiler and front mount parking up in the carpark at work on medway city estate in Beaufort court ...

Hol, Dean engine sounds good, but I aint got the readies at the moment, so am starting to save Matt, no worries mate, sorry I couldnt resolve it there and then, but a trip to Rally design should get you the pipe you need ! Didnt get round to ripping the engine out this weekend, maybe next weekend ! When it started tho makes a good anti lag type sound at 4000 rpm, shame the smoke and oil lets it down....

at 140k its probably not worth it and I have been running 340 odd bhp for 2 years so it time for an upgrade me thinks .... funds are bit tight at the moment so will have to see what lands in my lap

after a good blat about this afternoon, looks like the rings or big ends have gone lots of smoke as it pushing oil out everywhere.. so may be on the market for a new engine anyone getting rid of one ? a 2.5 may be nice,, but funds are tight at the moment.... ebay is being bashed as i speak !

If its any consolation, I got 14 mins of in car, but i had to cut it down to 10 minutes so I could post it onto youtube as thats their limit ! The limit on mischief-inc is 30 mins tho !!!!

I have a htc touch diamond mobile phone with a built-in g sensor and GPS, I installed an application called GPC (www.extreme-apps.com) cost about 12 quid ! One of its features is I can log wherever i go and overlay it on google earth, as well as calulate BHP, gforces 0-60 times etc I can also make calls on the phoneone as well, the background music on my track vid was also playing off it at the same time as all the logging....

Dont forget a log sleeved jacket ! I had to find one loast year as they wouldnt let me on without it .... Looking forward to this see you all at m2 services

it takes the same gasket as the factory original downpipe, its the flexi gasket thats flat on one side and tapered on the other and usually compressed the with 2 spring loaded bolts, the gasket slides over a section of pipe approx 2-3 cms if that helps ?

Guys ... got this for sale and maybe some other exhaust bits soon for the classic !: open to reasonable offers ! I also have a Recaro fibreglass drivers seat with modified Bride runners to fit a classic, used but worth £100 all day long pics to follow if anyone shows the interest ! Is currently fitted in my car and works damn well for holding me in !
