As you all know iam planning on doing some engine work to the car, handling mods iam not to worried about its the Engine mods iam a wee bet unsure of, on the forums you read cars running at over 300 - 400bhp my wonder is long term how long the engine, gearbox will last at that kind of output before such time as lossing poneys or imploding. You can take P1's as an example in standard form no mods you can expect to be replacing the bottom end aroind 40,000 miles. So with an STi modded to 300 - 400bhp can you expect the engine to one day so to speak give up the ghost. Martin

That sounds the dogs cal, nice to know what the tsl stuff will sound like iam looking at the TSL downpipe on mine when i save up a few pennys. Do you need a remap with the sports cat down pipe or does the wee engine management light come on? Martin

To go along with the wee present for the tyres seems silly not to to put a front strut brace on the car, can anyone recommend a good quailty strut brace i could use. Iam currently looking at the following :- Scoobyworld Carbon Strut Brace Scoobyworld STi Strut brace Scott Lowe APR Performance Flex Control Bar Cusco Front Strut brace or Whiteline Strut brace I now ive listed a few there so i dont know if there is anydifference in performance between them your comments would be greatly apprecated. Also would you reccommend a rear struct brace? but iam not sure how much boot space this would take up so if anyone has any pics of a rear strut brace installed be great. Martin

Iam going to sound hypacritical here, but ive seen a few installs of single din head units and personal i preffer the double din's in the new age dash, was looking at a few kenwood ones but there all 600 - 700 quid [] Martin

Dont think you could call what i listen to music but slipknot starts to break up into sounding like a sowing machine at 18, the joys of a louder exhaust turing the cd player up, or alternative sit back and enjoy the burble Martin

Above sort volume 18 the music in the car becomes all distored and starts to break up which is pretty crap i was wondering if its the speakers that cant cope or the headunit Martin

Ive BF Goodridge G-Force on the front and they seem to be ok the RE040's are on the rear and i find they seem to make the car drift alot espically in the wet.... Still need tyres though is looking like michlien sports or F1's Martin

Iam a complete TWAT, got home to look at the tires and yup they are 225 / 45 / R17[:$] i have Bridgestone Potenza RE40 on the rear and just thought that was refering to the profile, iam sorry for the three posts say i had 40 profiles. Martin
