Hello everyone, I'm a 49 year old Chartered Surveyor from Newcastle under Lyme, Staffordshire, about to embark on something between a midlife crisis and trip down memory lane, as I have just brought a 2007 Impreza STI Type UK, totally original and having only done 12,000 miles since new with just two recorded keepers. I was lucky enough to buy a similar car brand new in 2006 and was in fact the first person in the UK to order a black one, which I later added the PPP to along with a few other mods and after 60,000 miles and three years of ownership reluctantly sold it and regretted doing so ever since. The image below was taken of me and the sales manager in the dealership in 2006 for an article Subaru did when they were launching the car. For those wondering, after a bit of haggling I paid £25,000 for my recent purchase, reflective of the low mileage and that fact that it hasn't been modified at all. Unbelievably, it still has the same tyres on it that it came out of the factory wearing. I will drive the car, but only on occasions and it will be garaged for most of the time to keep the mileage down. I've joined SIDC to get to know like minded people and to hopefully attend some of the meetings that take place to meet other Subaru owners. Best wishes to all and I hope to see some of you soon!
